Chapter 1
I woke up with one thought on my mind. Today was my birthday and I was turning 18!!!!!!! Every werewolf knows that you meet your mate when you are 18 and I will be one of those wolves who lived happily ever after when I meet my mate. I was clutching onto the legends that mates would love you endlessly and would trust you no matter what. "I am sure that our mate will love us unconditionally"Kylie, my wolf, exclaimed lovingly. " Easier said than done" I retorted nervously. I was seriously scared that our mate will reject us. I mean it has happened before why can't it happen again. Bile rose in my throat and I shook the negativity off. I quickly got dressed into a pink polkadot shirt and denim jeans, making sure I looked smoking hot, I headed downstairs. I am sorry I didn't get to introduce myself earlier, I am Alexandra Black,an 18 year old girl with a twin brother Alexander, a lovely younger sister Britney and two considerate parents Scott and Andrea. "Breakfast!!!!!" .y mom yelled loudly. I hugged my parents and sister and did my special handshake with my brother. I sat down at the dining to enjoy my favorite dish steaming hot bacon and eggs. Suddenly, my father spoke up" Are you ready for the party tonight??"
I smiled at my father's consideration and I answered saying " of course, I am pretty excited about meeting my mate"
My brother being his foolish self commented" Your mate is lucky,I mean you smoking hot"
I blushed at my brother's statement. When I was done eating,I went to my Bestie, Julia's house. She is the Alpha's sister and stays at his place. Immediately I entered,she grabbed me and dragged me up to her room.
"Happy birthday Bestie!!!!!!!!"she shouted
"Thanks" I said shyly. We talked some more about mates and I expressed my insecurities about meeting my mate and soon it was time to get ready for the party. After dressing up,I found Julia gaping at me. " What,is there something on my face??" I asked worried. She could not say anything but only pointed to the mirror. I looked at my reflection in the mirror and I was stunned to see a different looking person staring back at me. I was wearing an ocean blue dress which complemented my blue eyes and earrings. My long brown hair was falling on my shoulders even though it was longer. I put on a pair of silver heels to compliment the dress and to admit I looked as if I had fallen from the sky. I snapped out of my daze and pulled Julia to the door. As soon as we walked out,all eyes were on us. I heard the words I never wanted to hear from a certain person. " Mate, Mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Oh no no no no no no no. This was not happening how could Brian be my mate. The last thing I remember before blacking out was Kylie jumping excitedly in my head chanting mate.
