Chapter 1
It was a cold night, Kuzo was heading to his apartment from a long day at college. As Kuzo is walking to his apartment he hears someone within an alleyway saying “ The shadows, they speak to us…. in their own way. “ Kuzo begins to become more and more curious by the second so he starts heading towards the alleyway, he looks around the corner of the alleyway and sees a man wearing a misty colored suit. The man sees Kuzo out the corner of his eye and he runs out the alleyway running right past Kuzo but in doing so he drops his name tag, his name tag said “ Arc Flamon.” Kuzo picks it up and puts it in his backpack and thinks about finding the man to give him his name tag back but he decides against it and continues heading to his apartment.
Kuzo makes it to his apartment and notices that the door is open. Kuzo hears a sudden noise in his apartment so he goes in and sees a raven sitting on top of the couch. The raven sees Kuzo and begins to say, “ Hello Kuzo.” Kuzo slams the door behind him in fear and asks “ How do you know my name?” The raven flies onto Kuzo’s shoulder and looks at him dead in the eyes but not in a mean way. Kuzo flinches in fear but as he does so the raven begins to introduce herself, “ My name is Sorrow and I am a shadow, and the reason I know your name Kuzo is because I have been watching you for quite some time now.” Kuzo try’s slapping sorrow but she flies up before he could hit her. “ Kuzo do not be frightened I am not going to hurt you, I came here to ask you something.” Sorrow says in a calm tone, Kuzo looks at her and sets his things down by the door. “ What do you want from me you beast” sorrow sighs when he says that, but sorrow does what she came to Kuzo for. Sorrow pecks out one of her feathers and gives it to Kuzo saying “ I want you to become a oshadow, well part shadow anyway.” Kuzo holds the feather in his hand and just stares at it, after about a minute of him thinking Kuzo says “ so what do I do with the feather anyway?” Sorrow looks around and finds a cup of water, she flies over and grabs it to give it to Kuzo. “ In order to gain power over my shadow you need to make tea using the feather as the only ingredient other than water.” Kuzo looks concerned at Sorrow saying that he needs to make tea out of the feather, “ Sorrow are you sure I will be safe making tea out of your feather?” Kuzo says in a worried tone. Sorrow bursts out into laughter and says “ Well you can die if your body is not stable enough but, I have been watching you and your body will handle it just fine so no need to worry Kuzo.” When Sorrow said that Kuzo just became more worried about drinking the tea from a feather that he does not know where it has been but, Kuzo makes the tea anyway. After Kuzo is done drinking it, Sorrow leaves but she left a note behind and it says “ Kuzo I will still be watching you to make sure that you stay safe from the SIG, and please Kuzo take better care of yourself. - Sorrow”
