"Talented!!!!! I'm not going to lie, I enjoyed this one infinitely more than the original in the serious. That's saying A LOT because the original story is amazing. This story delves into the terrorist group mentioned in the first book in a very personal manner because one of the character is a member. We find him in a moment of vulnerability where love sneaks in and shows the brittle nature of lies. We see love give him the power to shed those lies and change the world around him. We see the world change for him as love recovers parts of him that cruelty has made him lose and open him up to a future he could never conceive. This story is modern romance. I love when a story is so good it trumps the topes within in. This is one of those stories where it doesn't matter your orientation, race, sex, hobbies etc....you want love like this to exist. This is a gripping, sweet, with definitely spicy, 🥵 but intimate, story! The themes of redemption and how love conquers all is beautiful done. This story makes the enemies to lovers and omega tropes feel fresh. "This was such a good story. Usually, I would say a sweet story but with the rollercoaster it was and the murdering happening, it wasn’t sweet in that sense but the ending sure was! I liked reading the entire journey of Trouble from the beginning to the very end. He really had self-development and changed for the better thanks to his mate but also to himself because he allowed it to happen even if it wasn’t easy at first. I really like how much his thinking process changed as he realized everything. Even though sometimes it was tough for them, especially at the beginning and sometimes things were uncertain and intense, I’m glad they got to have their happy ending despite everything. I liked reading the progression of Trouble’s and his alpha relationship from the very beginning where it first started to the very end. It really shows how things change over time and how they reconcile. Same thing for how his relationship with his mate progressed over time because at first circumstances seemed impossible and quite tense. Overall, this novel was a nice read and I recommend it to others that might like something similar to this kind of content. "
