"Gritty, dark, profound. The last act is a brilliant descent into madness and some of the finest writing I have had the pleasure of reading in a lifetime. Michel is a master storyteller that holds no punches; I feel like I just made it through a glorious bar fight as the lone survivor left standing and I'm a fan."
A good start
"I'm reading the prologue right now, and i'll say this...I'm impressed, the way it was written to me felt dark yet mysterious, so far it's a bit convoluted for me to understand (Then again i'm at the beginning stage of the story) But it's still worth a recommendation"
Gripping
"This novel favoured dark, unpolished realism and on top of that interesting, dark philosphy, which I really adored. The plot was delivered sharply and I loved the mentions of mexican folklore, all the different gods. The first act was my favorite. I enjoyed, how it showed the struggles of a drug addict and the irrational decisions one can make being on that kind of influence; the scene where Ollie struck his head against the wall is replaying in my head right now. For some reason the other two arcs did not leave me with as much of an impact, but that is subjective. Another thing I have to mention is the punctuation. Don't get me wrong, I can enjoy longer sentences or a different, more poetic structure in fiction, but in doing that, there needs to be good punctuation, to make things sound cohesive. Saying that, there were a few paragraphs, that took me a while to understand. I also spotted missing words. All in all this was a really delightful and unique novel. My praise goes to the author. "
