Chapter 1: Welcome to My Life

Dear Diary,
This was the day it all happened. This was the day that changed my life. This was the day that made me suffer for the rest of my life. My mother had just got remarried a week ago to my step-father who I didn’t really have likes and dislikes for. I was 5, only 5 when this happened. My step-father: Harold had raped me.
On August 9th I was raped. It started when my mom left to run errands. He was in charge of me. I was watching this show I really liked called, Melissa and Friends. My step-father had sat on the couch really close to me.
“What are you watching?” Harold asked.
“Melissa and Friends!” I said.
“Sit on my lap.” He ordered. So I did sit on his lap. He started to put his hand under my ass and squeeze it there and then then he took his other hand and slid it down to my private area.
I was utterly confused and uncomfortable.
“Follow me.” He ordered.
I did. I was somewhat obedient, people called me “Miss Goody 2 Shoes.”
He took me to his room and sat on the bed.
He gave me a condom, “It’s a candy.” He said.
He then zipped down his fly revealing his lower area.
“Suck it.” He commanded.
“Ew, no!” I leaped.
He grabbed my arm and made me touch it. It was sticky and hard.
I felt disgusted. Why, why, why?
I then proceeded to suck it.
He threatened me that he would kill me if I spoke a word about this.
I went back to my room and sobbed.
“I’m home!” My mom said.
I ran to the living room. “Did you guys spend some father-daughter time together?” My mom asked.
“Yes.” I nodded. But if being raped was “father-daughter time” then we had a lot of it. This was the first but not the last time it happened.
