We have become so obsessed with fitting in and pleasing others that we have forgotten our own desires and dreams. It’s time to wake up and reclaim our individuality! Let us no longer sacrifice our creativity and ingenuity on the altar of sameness. Let us stand up for ourselves and make our own choices. Let us embrace the beauty of our diversity and celebrate our differences.

We must remember that it is our individuality that makes us who we are, and it is only by embracing it that we can truly live a fulfilling life. It is important to remember that joining a cruel club does not make a person stronger or more superior, but it diminishes their own humanity and compassion. It is important to recognize and appreciate the unique qualities that make us all human and to surround ourselves with people who uplift and support us rather than tear us down.

Preface

This book’s genre is paranormal romance. It is a slight insight into the mind of a genius who acts as a fool to fit into a social club of freaks who rejected him for his difference. He resolves to mask his truth, which only leads to confronting himself and his fragmented identity. In the split of the mental, the soul could liberate itself from the chains of self-blame which it, so heartily, believed to merit.

The brawl happening between the heart (the belief) and the mind (the unbelief) is presented through a body in its walk of shame of his real feelings. Since the club he joined in imposes strict rules and one of them is to simply not feel. Yet, the mission he was sent for is bent by affection and for this reason his vision gets blurred by the fog surrounding his certainty. He soon becomes uncertain about the actuality of the events since it gets too surreal.

The protagonist is a detective to accentuate his search for the truth. Sometimes, a person’s mind can feel like a prison where everything becomes too lucid to confront and this leads to becoming prisoners in their own mind. This leads to escaping the sincerity of their memories to find them again where they have been abandoned, crafted in the darkest corners of a person’s mind.

The main theme of this book is appearance versus reality. It is clarified through using of masks as a symbol to hide the truth, from the eyes of the world; an angel mask for mediocre souls. I invite readers to consider this as a symbol, not more than that. The use of masks is just a representation to what is actually happening on a soul level. It clarifies the need to disguise and be hidden from judgmental eyes, and it is also a way to hide the truth in a club of lies.

The element of romance is noticeable through love that sheds a bright light on the person’s truth, and helps both characters recognize themselves by seeing their truth through each other’s eyes; ”look me in the eyes so I can see myself through you.”

When readers go through the details of this book, they will notice that it is literally an Asylum that I am describing which is totally imaginary, and that is what shapes the element of paranormal. The writing of this book was challenging for one major reason that my thoughts kept falling apart yet they never crashed. They always bounced back and generated more confusion.

I invite readers to view this book from a mentalistic perspective, which is interlinked with the main character’s psychological side. The torment he is living is portrayed through the numerous places he has found himself in. These places are the haunted areas of his mind that he never confronted. Also, the two main characters of the book are hiding their truth from the outside word by fear of getting rejected for who they truly are.

The male character goes through issues of accepting his good manners and pure spirit and is in a constant hide from society as it was formed by the others. The female character has secretive sadistic tendencies, that were kept hidden underneath the perfection of beauty and attitude. This lack of confrontation led to a sense of alienation, generative of loneliness and misery on an existential level.

The two characters are different on social and spiritual level, just like the yin and the yang. The sound of their own heart beating is a metaphor for their inner voice, telling them that this is not the right path to take. Yet, it is the mutual feeling of unconditional love that unlocked the door of happiness and made them feel alive, perhaps for the very first time.
