Chapter 1
Mary! Sandra! Linda and Joe, mummy is calling you all, Jane shouted at the top of her voice as she approached the room where her four siblings were in. "Why are you shouting like that"? Jane's elder sister, Mary asked, "Mummy has been calling you people and you all acted like you didn't hear her calling" Jane replied, "please don't shout my name like that again" Joe the only boy said as he walked majestically followed by the rest to the sitting room where their mom is, where have you all been? I have been calling you people" said their mom, " mummy this one you're calling us hope the food is ready " Sandra said sharply, " it's only food you know " Linda blasted. "It's OK oo food is ready, you all should go and eat and Linda don't say such things to your sister again " their mummy said as they all worked to the dinning table, after eating Sandra is to do the dishes because she's the adorable little sister after which they were asked to sit and wait for the arrival of their father who is a soldier and is returning from one his war trip, "daddy Sandra welcome sir" a neighbor's voice was heard " thank you Amaka " was his response , just then a knock came on their door every one already knew who it was so Joe Open's the door and embrace his Dad followed by the rest of them including their Mom. After a long trip from Liberia to Nigeria Mr John had his bath and ate his delicious dinner after which they all sat down to discuss about his trip and other things, Mr John at this point had promised his children the best of everything including education, he told them not to worry about anything because he will always provide their needs. He also told his family about his next trip and needs them to always pray for him, after their discussion Mr John asked everyone to go and sleep because it was already late so everyone retired to their rooms. It's Sunday morning, every one is getting ready for church, they all attend the Redeemed christian church of God " you all should put me in your prayers " Mr John said as they all walked to church. After church they came back home while Mrs John entered the kitchen to prepare Sunday rice and stew, Linda and Mary joined her in the kitchen while Joe, Sandra and Jane helped their father to get ready for his journey the next day. Food was ready, they all ate to their satisfaction and had a brief family talk after which they prayed and retired to their rooms. As early as 5am Mr John was ready, everyone woke up and prayed before saying goodbye.
