KEIRA’S POV

It was about 9 pm when i finally got the rest of my baggage into the terminal to fly to the beautiful California Coast to get away from this hell hole that i called home for the last 15 years of my 33 crazy years of existence.

“All passengers for flight 325 to California, please enter the terminal now, or else you will miss the chance of a lifetime!”

The flight attendant announced over the intercom.

With that i hurried and ran to the entrance and flashed my ticket and pass from security when i went through the metal detectors to the lady at check in and ran into the plane, and sat down as i put my backpack above my head and relaxed, until we were ready for take off.

“Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to flight 325. We will be taking off in about 5 minutes. I repeat 5 minutes, thank you and enjoy your flight.”

With that, i buckled my seatbelt and covered up my tattooed legs, in case some of my tattoos offended the older folks, and switched my phone to airplane mode, as i laid my head rest back and closed my eyes.

About 4 minutes went by as i heard the pilot over the intercom again, as he spoke.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we will be taking off in about 30 seconds, please fasten your seatbelts and put your cell phones and or tablets in airplane mode. Thank you and enjoy!”

With those words, i felt the engine under me wake up, as i felt the vibration go through my entire body, as i thought to myself this was the best feeling i have had in a very long time.

My mind went to three months ago, when i caught my ex husband cheating on me with my very own mother.

Flashback at keira’s house

“Baby, i’m home!”

I walked all the downstairs and even the upstairs of our 3 story house.

“Wyatt? Are you in here? Where the fuck are you?”

I finally went out back to his mancave and heard a noice i knew right away what it was.

“You like that mommy? Tell daddy what you want!”

My heart began to break slowly. When I realized, Wyatt was having an affair.

I slowly opened the door, and what i seen, i wanted to die right then and there. The person that gave birth to me riding my husband on the twin cot. My very own mother!

“You sonS of a bitch!”

I yelled and grabbed my mother by the hair and ripped her off of him, as i started pulverizing her.

“You crazy cunt! You dont deserve him!”

My mother shouted as she tried to fight back, as i kicked her in the nose. Blood began pouring out of her and stopped.

“You two deserve each other!”

I yelled, as i spit on her and walked to wyatt and threw my wedding and engagement ring at him.

“And you Whyatt Blake, can just go fuck yourself and never speak to me ever again.”

With that, I walked back to the house, packed all my stuff, and moved to my dad and step moms house.

Back to reality

I shook from my flashback, as a young flight attendant walked towards me with a silver cart filled with snacks and alcoholic beverages.

She was a young petite girl maybe 19-20 years old with long blonde hair and blue eyes with beautiful ink tattooed on her arms.

“Good evening. My name is Everyly, and i will be your attendant for the flight. What part of California are you visiting?”

She asked, as i chuckled and cleared my throat.

“My name is Keira, and im not visiting im moving to the coast. Trying to forget about my past and move on with my future.”

Everly flashed a smile and spokeonce more.

“I noticed the ink on your legs. They are beautiful! My brother owns a tattoo parlor out there. Its called vicious rumors. Heres a card.”

She handed me a card, and it read,

All i did was smile and thank her.

“Can i get you something to drink or eat?”

I nodded my head and pointed to the vodka and orange juice.

“One screwdriver coming up. That’ll be $5.00.”

I handed her a twenty dollar bill.

“Keep the change.”

She smiled a big grin.

“Thank you so much! Have a good rest of your flight!”

I smiled and fell asleep the rest of the flight.
