400 violets

Roses are red, I used to have 400 violets in my garden

But I gave them all away to my dearest darlings

I gave 30 violets to the raven who taught me how to hold the pen

He is the weatherman of my mind, he is a gift and a best friend

He always gives me pretty things to write about, like stones and golden arrows

His way to my heart, and for him to gain my trust, was anything but narrow So I went to my garden and gave 30 violets to Mr. Holmes

And I watched him take them by his beak and fly back home

I gave 50 violets to the baker that I pass by each morning

He gives me free fresh bread even though

I don’t own him And when I pass by the bakery in the afternoon

He gives me cookies that makes me as warm as June

He lifts up my spirit even when I don’t ask for his kindness

So I went to my garden and got him 50 violets

I gave 80 violets to the nymph who sings for me whenever I’m feeling blue

Sometimes she sings old songs, and the other times ones that are new

So I went to my garden and got 80 violets to the musician who can sing for hours

She loved them so much that she wrote a wonderful song about the flowers

I gave 90 violets to the goddess with the fan The one that helps me as much as she can

She drove away the dark clouds and blessed me with sunny days

She is very powerful and generous in so many ways So I went to the garden and got 90 violets

I put them under her temple as a thanks for the goddess

I gave 150 violets for the thief who stole my jewelry

Because she didn’t only steal them, she also stole me

I wasn’t angry over her stealing, I wasn’t upset that she made me rouse

I forgave her for sneaking, and I wanted her, for some reason, back in my house

So I went to the garden and got 150 violets to the thief

I couldn’t resist her magic, because I am as weak as a leaf

I have 0 violets in my garden, and I gave none of them to myself

Because other than an empty garden, I deserve nothing else

An Argument in a Cave

In the middle of a dead dessert, where was once life is now dry sticks

Where the sun is a fatal laser that can liquefy flesh and bricks The sand is as scorching as burning coal

And the only thing that steps on it are lost souls

A large green vehicle swims fast in this sea of death It stops and throws the two unfortunates out in the speed of a breath

As the expelled thinkers lay on the flaming sand in hurt

The car leaves, in a large haste, this cursed dessert They get up, only being able to see the sand storm it left

Trying to process what just happened, but their brains still feels like a cleft

After they get over their mental shock, they quickly start feeling the sun’s whips

“We need to find shelter” said the hero in a glib “there is a cave right there, we can protect ourselves from the sun inside”

They run towards it and go in; they calm down under the shadow it gave like it is paradise

They sit down and exhale deep breathes that they didn’t know were holding

“What are we going to do now?” said the sleepy man as his worries started unfolding

“We have no food, no water, nothing to protect us from the heat and cold”

“I don’t know yet” said the hopeful hero “but we can get this situation under control”

“Control? We have nothing under control” groaned the sad man in agony

“Life just takes away everything we get; it is all pain in this endless galaxy”

“Please calm down, everything will be alright if we stay strong” said the star

“I know everything looks so hopeless and wrong, but our destiny is still not far”

“You are right in something; our destiny is not far because it is right here”

The depression explained “here we will die and forever disappear”

“Can’t you see that the world doesn’t want us anymore?”

“Every time we get up, life hits us with more misery than before”

“There has to be an end, and this properly is it” “please shut up!” yelled the brave, looking like he is ready to throw a fit

“there is no time to say nonsense, we need to get up on our feet”

“I will go out and try to look for help, or at least something to eat”

“have you lost your mind?” said the sad man in shock

“going out is going to be a one way walk”

“the sun will vaporize you; the hunger will eliminate you; the dessert will do whatever to murder you”

“then do you propose we die in this cave?” asked the hero in anger due to not knowing what to do

“what other choice do we have?” replied back the miserable man “there is no escape from this death, we have no plan”

“would you rather die under the sun’s cruelty and above the hot sand’s torture?” The charming man stood up and said

“I would rather die trying than die in the dessert’s corner” He walked to the end of the cave, the border between a hot and a comfortable death

“get back here you mad man!” said the lazy man in a worried breath

The hero ignored him and stepped with his foot on the corpses’ grave

He left and let the hot light hit him like a wave

Balloon

I watch it from far away as it floats around

So pretty and elegant, so perfectly round I can’t stop staring at it,

I can’t even blink I admire how it changes its color from red to pink

I want to grab it and hold it close

I want to hug it, and never let go But I can’t even touch it, it is too high

I can’t leave the ground while it can reach the sky

But it is too beautiful, so pretty that it makes you feel mellow

It’s so admirable how it changes its color from orange to yellow

But even if I caught it, it doesn’t have a string

It will just float on my ceiling and forever cling

And I will just stare at it as it changes its color from green to blue

As it wanders around with all of my other ceiling’s balloons

Cacti aren’t flower

Oh Cacti, what a strange plant you are

A painful beauty, the desert’s czar As may other people call my obsession towards you strange

How can you be so unique, and order my eyes to strange

I am addicted to your green, I admire all of your shapes

I am not intimidated by your spikes, they are not dirt to be scrapped

And I believe you are at your most beautiful stage when your flowers bloom

The elegant pink crown you light the world with, can diminish the sad eyes’ gloom

That’s why I surround you with me, for you bring a weird type of satisfaction

But your beauty distracts me from how you keep hurting me with my actions

How every time I hold you close your spikes start going through my skin

You’ll make me bleed and I can painfully feel your knives killing me within

And as your roots go into my scar and reach for my beating heart

It grabs it and starts sucking my life out of it, making me feel so lost

But I can’t pull you away, no matter how much of me you devour

Because I am too stupid to understand that Cacti aren’t flower

Golden Blood

In a land far away, covered by a sheet of green trees Where the life is as wild as the traveling breeze

There live all types of creatures that are known and unknown From talking trees to walking stone

From singing nymphs to slimy bodies with no bones

Amongst these beings are holy lives Godly spirits that cannot die

An army of a kingdom has crossed their paths with one A pink god with three eyes that glow like the sun

Four arms were attached to its human like body They were bleeding fluid that looked like golden toddy

They were sitting on a log crying from pain

Tears flowing down their faces looking like crystal rain

The god looked back at them after they turned around Both shocked that the god, by the army, was found

They wanted to run, but they knew that their injuries will not allow

Fear was crawling one their skin as sweat was running on their brow

But the army wasn’t in horror, they were instead in delight

They felt happy and calm, they felt so loved and bright

The scent of the god’s blood has brought cheer to the army’s hearts

“please come with us” said one of the soldiers “that is all that we want”

“we can heal you in the castle’s clink” he continued in a soft voice

The god hesitated, but they knew that they didn’t have much choice

They nodded with their teary eyes and got carried away by the soldiers

They safely arrived to the clink by the happy army with tired shoulders

The room was noticeably filled with a weird yet pleasing smell

After the doctor smelled it, he began to feel delighted and well

“It is the blood” the doctor said “It makes us feel so much joy”

“Tell the king that the god is a gift that shall never be destroyed!”

The news of their powers started going all around the kingdom

Everyone wanted to try it, they demanded to bring them some

The king asked the god if the people were allowed to use their blood

They didn’t feel like they can decline, their guilt will flood

They owned them so much for saving them, so they accepted The blood’s touch on the people was truly effective!

They put the golden blood in everything that they used

From their homemade soap to their jasmine perfume

The holy scent was all over the gifted kingdom

It brought such great effect to the system

Everyone was so happy and joyful all the time There was no more hate, there was no more crime

Everyone felt motivated to create and fix

There were barely any flaws and there were no nicks

They praised the god with so much love and grace They give them so many gifts and so much embrace

They held festivals in their honor, they showered them in gems

The god was greatly treasured by every masc and femme

But what was happening to god was a whole different story

They were suffering greatly and their body lost its glory

Its once pink skin had become as light as white chalk

Their soft curly blonde hair had fallen apart

The flesh has lost its mass and they can barely breathe

The kingdom has sucked them dry by how much they had to bleed

Yes, they are a god but they can still feel pain and illness

They can’t die but they can’t get rid of this hellish sickness

Caused by the people’s greed and large demand of their golden fluid

The kingdom wouldn’t give them a break or the system will be ruined

As the god groaned in pain from this torture they put themselves in “should I run away?” Thougt the god “I can’t keep getting this thin”

“but the people need me, I know this place will fall if I left”

“they have done so much for me that leaving them will be theft”

“but how is it my fault that they got too dependent on me?”

“I want to go far away from this place but I know I can’t leave”

“anger will visit their souls again and some might try to hunt me down”

The god was in hesitance to risk throwing away this cursed crown

So should they stay in agony or should they leave this town?

My Rainbow

I’ve looked in the seas,

I’ve looked on the trees

I’ve looked under the rocks,

I’ve broken every lock

But I can’t seem to find it,

no I can’t seem to find it

I’ve crossed the oceans,

I’ve tried all the potions

I’ve tried to do search harder,

but I only drowned in my water

I still can’t seem to find it, why can’t I find it?

The journey started from a very dark place

I knew this was going to be a wild goose chase

But I had the idea, it was crystal clear

And I didn’t care if people called me weird

It was going to make the blind see

It was going to make the deaf hear

I just needed to find it, but I can’t find it

I just needed to find it, for it will bring cheer

I needed to find the rainbow

My dear dear rainbow

Full of love and happiness

So beautiful and mysterious

But every time I try to touch it, it disappears

And when it is gone I am surrounded by fears

For my heart, it is such a slaughter

Sometimes I ask myself why I even bother

But then I remember how the rainbow makes me feel

It makes me feel safe, joyful, and full of cheer

It taught me how to love, it taught me how to live

It taught me whom I should and shouldn’t forgive I want to bring it back to my life

Even though it’s going to be a long hard strife

I will find you my rainbow, my dear dear rainbow

And I will feel your red, blue, and yellow

The Consciousness and the Body

The consciousness and the body never had the best relationship

They never stop fighting and kind words rarely come out of their lips For the consciousness the body is the biggest burden

The body is so heavy, cumbersome, and broken It has grown tired of all of its needs

Taking care of it is an exhausting deed

When it is thirsty it needs to be watered, when it is hungry it needs to be fed

When it is tired or sick it needs to stop working and go to sleep on the bed

When it is insecure it needs compliments, so needy for attention

But when others look at it the consciousness suffers from the tension

The consciousness doesn’t like it when people comment on the body

It doesn’t want to hear insults or compliments from anybody

It doesn’t like to show the body off, it prefers it to stay covered

It fears for it by the predators to be discovered

Predators don’t chase after the mind, they only desire the flesh

So the consciousness has to protect it before being eaten fresh

It hates the body for it is a target that can feel its pain

So it locks it up in a cage and ties it with chains

The consciousness separated itself from the body and learned how to neglect its whining

It treats it like a cursed jewelry that can kill it when it starts shinning

The body holds a strong grudge towards the consciousness and how it treats it

It hates how much abuse it faces; how it forces it to stay covered and seated

The body wants to run around and twirl with beautiful dresses on

But it can’t because it will make the mind go crazy upon The consciousness and the body rarely get along

But there is one condition where they look eye to eye without hate

When something loves them both it’s when they are willing to put down the weight

Love combines them together and they dance for it

They become one person to impress the affectionist

But that dance is temporary as the moment that the love stops

They let each other go and the music flops

It is not because that they need a constant lover

It is because they need to learn how to love each other

The Owls of the Night

The sky is as dark as coal, but the moon still stands out bright

The loud whispers are cold, and everything is out of sight

And as I am walking down the hill, questioning if I am even sane

With a candle in my hand, trying to silence my anxious brain As

I got closer to the woods, my body starts to fill with fear

And when I heard their hooting once again, the color of my face disappeared

Hoo, hoo, hooo00 the owls scream when they see my pathetic fragile figure

Their big yellow eyes widen as they stare at me, and my mouth starts tasting bitter

I try to look tough with my body, but in my mind I am begging for their mercy

“Please do not pull my dark hair and set my head on fire”

“I beg you, do not rip my clothes and expose me to the cold air again”

“Please do not insult me, for I can understand your loud hoots”

“Do not peck my skin, do not peck my eyes”

“Do not take my stuff away and my love to life”

But before I knew it, I have finished walking through the path that is made out of dirt

Tonight luck was on my side, the owls didn’t hurt me they just gave me looks

I go back to questioning why this only happens to me

Can other people see what I see?

Am I sick in the head, am I hallucinating?

Why am I always in these types of situations?

Are the owls of the night even real?

What can I do to make them disappear?

They have attacked me many many times, but no one can help me

The others are sick of listening, they think I am crazy

I go back home, and lay down on my soft comforting bed

My little safe place, on it I will never be dead

As I am regaining my energy, and life is finally being kind

I hear a loud hoot coming from my insane mind

The Small God

In a farm that is far away from the city and its crowded streets

A lonely farmer takes care of its numbered animals and wheat And in that farmer’s heart is a desire

A wish that burns his mind like fire

To connect with the gods above and ask for a blessing

He wants his farm to be touched by a god that is nature caressing

But he can’t pray for the gods because their big shrines are far away in the urban

And for him to travel such long distance every day would be a burden

One day he decides to build a small shrine in his home

He was ready to do anything even for the chance to get some loam

So with wood and clay he built a shrine from simple rectangles

He covered it with leafs and placed it down with incorrect angles

He placed it in the corner of his wooden hut and put some coal in the middle

Every morning he would lit it up and burn some of his breakfast even if it’s little

He then would pray to the shrine on his dirty ground “Please let a sign of a giver in this shrine be found”

While the farmer was doing his morning ritual in one cold autumn day

The fire on the coal started flickering so the man got distracted from the pray

Through the sound of the sparks a voice spoke

“Mortal, through your prayers I am now woke”

“Which god am I speaking to?” asked the man

“I am the god of the brown leafs that cover your land”

“I am the god of the decay of apples when they fall on the dirt from their trees”

“I am the god of the scent of blooming apple flowers that attract the bees”

“I am but a useless small god that cannot give much to your simple farm”

“Go to the big shrines of the city for they have a better charm”

“You can connect with bigger gods that may bless you and serve your desires”

“This shrine is warm and contented but it is the big ones that you require”

The simple man stared at the coal then broke the silence after hearing the god’s words

“If you find this shrine comfortable for you then why don’t you stay as the coal burns?”

The god was caught speechless till he replied “I told you I can’t give you a proper blessing”

The farmer then said “I don’t want that from you, that is not what I am addressing”

“I am suggesting if you want to stay in this shrine you can at any time”

“I will keep burning the coal every day, is helping you a crime?”

“But why would you do that, mortal?” asked the weak god in curiosity

“I am grateful for the small things you do, you deserve this generosity”

“You bring beauty and life to this world, you are a part of my home even if it is small”

“And I believe having conversations with you won’t be bad at all”

The god was amazed of how much a random human cared about him

The farmer continued “and you have already fulfilled a greater whim”

“What have I given you, human?” replied the god to the gentle soul

“A friend” said the farmer to the flickering fires of the coal

Train L

The train station is the next biggest stage in everyone’s life

People seeking love go to the trains to find a husband or a wife

Every new graduate goes to it, every young soul with a dream

The trains take you to your destined path if it is your legacy or career

You might find yourself on the tracks or you might find it in the destination

If you are finally ready to get out there then you must start at the train station

So just like any other dude in his age, the boy was tremendously excited

His moment finally came, it was time for him and his destiny to be united

He was filled with so much joy he kept running on the lobby’s floor

His brown coat flying around while his hat and head were on war

He had his ID in his left hand, and his big stuffed case in his right

When the guard yelled “next” he ran to him in the speed of light

“ID please, we will assign you your train soon” said the guard

He then went to the computer and typed while looking at the card

Tic, tic, tic heard the brown hair boy while he was waiting impatiently

After a few minutes, the guard looked up with bad news that spoke facially

He said in a concerned voice “The only train that can accept you is Train L”

“What does that mean?” asked the boy while he stopped feeling well

“Train L has an unknown destination and no luggage is allowed”

“It is a one way trip” explained the guard with his sorry sound

The boy didn’t believe something like that can exist, it didn’t seem real

“How can a train be like that? How can this be a serious deal??”

“How can a train have an unknown destination?” yelled the boy in anger

“Not even knowing where your own train goes must be a clanger”

“There must be another train I can go on, I can’t even bring my stuff!”

“Sorry, there isn’t” said the guard. The boy was wishing it was just a bluff

The guard handed him a printed blue ticket with the train’s name on it

“When the train finally comes by make sure that you spot it”

The boy didn’t know how to feel, it was like he just got hit by the train itself

Why did it have to be him? Couldn’t this story be written for someone else

He was in a great state of confusion of what the correct choice must be

He can’t get on that train, it would be like trying to breath under the sea

He knew he should take the safe route, it is too much of a risk

The thought of what could happen made his anxiety brisk

But he also knew that this is the only train ticket he will ever get

He knew if he decides to stay the rest of his life will be filled with regret

If he doesn’t get on it then he will stay on the train station’s bench

For the rest of his days, he will be stuck in that safe but deep dark trench

“My life will be misery, but will it be better if I get on that train?”

He thought about that question on the bench while he sobbed in pain

What is a human?

In a quite deep forest that is away from the city and the land is broken apart with river branches

An old man was walking beside the river’s flow covered in scars that are telling his past matches

He is dressed in a long gray robe that goes all the way to his feet

He walks down the river with a thick branch and his long gray beard

The mood was calm, the man was listening to the water’s music

But then a weird sound arisen from the river that wasn’t intrinsic

An echoing whisper blew into the man’s old ear

“We are the river’s spirits, please do not fear”

The sudden voice made the man’s skin crawl, but he collected his calmness within a minute

“What shall you need from me?” asked the old man “What can I give to the spirits?”

“We have a question!” answered the spirits “what is a human?”

“What do you mean?” asked the old man in confusion

“What differs in a person from a featherless biped?”

“Is it their scripts? Is it their crafted light?”

“Is it their whips? Is it there wars?

“Is it their ability to kill wild boars?”

The man stood there thinking for a couple of moments

He lifted his head up with an answer to reply for their comments

“Do you know what the first sign of society was?” asked the man

“It wasn’t a pot nor was it an ancient cooking pan”

“It was not a script, nor was it story written on stone”

“It wasn’t a basket, it wasn’t a tombstone”

“It wasn’t a coin, it wasn’t an axe”

“It wasn’t a roof, it wasn’t a track”

“It was a healed leg” said the old man to the spirits of the river

“It showed what made the animalistic behavior in the humans wither”

“Because if a random animal in the wild broke their leg”

“It would have been left behind and in a few days dead”

“But once a upon a time, a human broke their leg’s bone”

“And instead of dying they were saved because they weren’t alone”

“A loved one, a friend, or even a stranger had made a decision”

“To heal the leg with basic medic knowledge and precision”

“It couldn’t had been healed on its own so we know that the person was there”

“Someone must have helped them, someone must have cared”

“That is the first sign of a human society because it showed us the first ancient proof of humans helping each other out of kindness”

“They were cooperative, they gave out their hand for someone else in the name of goodness”

“They are the oldest known story of the birth of humans”

The spirits asked once again “then what makes a person nonhuman?”

“What makes other act in inhuman ways?”

“Their physiologist mutants” answered the man with no delays

“The mind’s darkness which birthed greed, division, and burning hate”

Then the spirits replied “but isn’t selfishness every person’s fate?”

The man answered “Greed and selfishness are different from each other”

“We all betray our mothers, we all wrong our brothers”

“You have to make selfish decisions to survive”

“But you do not need to be greedy to stay alive”

“Greed is when you suck the life out of the innocents”

“Taking everything for yourself without innocence”

“And division is the blindness caused by the darkness of ignorance”

“We have forgotten that we are still the same even with our differences”

“But the most deadly mutant is the hate in our hearts and the wrath it brings”

“For hate came from the cruelty of the world which drives us to sting”

“So when you cover your hands with the blood of someone else”

“When you let your world burn and leave your children in stress”

“When you deprive a baby from their mother’s breast”

“When you turn two groups into the oppressors and the oppressed”

“When others’ belongings is all that you have possessed”

“When you spread fire and darkness from the east to the west”

“Then you are the worst animal, you have become an alien”

“You are not a human, you are just a homo sapien”
