I just turned 18 years old. I pray to the Moon Goddess day and night for a kind, loyal, and good-looking mate within the Moonstone Pack. I love my pack and don't want to leave. My father, the Alpha of the Moonstone Pack, organized a huge party to celebrate my birthday. He invited Alphas from all the packs in the eastern region. Once you turn 18, you are able to find a mate. That's one of the reasons for the big celebration and inviting people from neighboring packs, hoping to find a mate. However, it seems like my mate isn't present here. I don't mind waiting for my mate if that's what the Moon Goddess wants from me.

Usually, wolves shift around the age of 13 or 14, but I was a late bloomer. I shifted at the age of 16. Being the daughter of the Alpha comes with its fair share of judgment from others. I couldn't believe there was a rumor about me being human. I don't know how people come up with such things. When I finally shifted, the rumor was put to rest. As a late bloomer, I still have to catch up with training to make my wolf stronger, faster, and fiercer.

My brother, Daniel, the next Alpha in line, has promised our father to make us the finest warriors in the Moonstone Pack. At home, I am his little princess, but on the training ground, he is the master, and I am his pupil. There is no royal treatment during training, and I'm thankful for that. Everyone around us treats me like I'm made of glass and will break with a touch, but I know I'm stronger than they think. At least, that's my opinion.

"Be at the training ground sharp at 5 a.m. tomorrow morning. Don't be late. If you are, you'll have to clean the training ground without any help," Daniel said.

Daniel, can you cut me some slack? I had a party yesterday. My body needs relaxation. I'm heartbroken that I haven't found my mate. I wonder if I even have a mate in this life.

"I'm not here to hear your sad story. Pray with your heart to the Moon Goddess for a mate. It seems like you're not praying sincerely. You need to turn your sadness into anger on the training ground." Daniel replied firmly.

Daniel, can you please act like my brother rather than the future alpha? I need my brother, not an Alpha. For now, Daddy is the only Alpha in my life. I can't handle both the current and future Alphas in my life. Oh, I forgot to tell you, I'll be going to the  Nightfall Pack next week. I already talked to Daddy, and he gave me permission.

"Why are you going to the Nightfall Pack, Vi? You wanted me to believe that a father would send his precious daughter to the devil's place. Do you really think I am that dumb, Vi?" Daniel questioned me curiously.

To celebrate Clara's 18th birthday. I'll be back within a couple of days.

"Have you lost your mind, Vi? The Nightfall Pack doesn't have a good reputation, especially not for their Alpha, Theodore. I suggest you cancel your plans."

No, Daniel. I am going to the Nightfall Pack.
