Day One

The sun was shining, relentlessly beating down on this massive field. The tall, long grass stretched out in every direction. Everywhere one looked, grass was in sight. There were no trees one could use for shade, nor were there any bodies of water to cool off with. There was only grass, for as long as the eye could see.

In the middle of this field, was a man. A tall, but skinny and weak, pale white man. This white man had an extremely deep voice that could intimidate any person around. But he didn’t have the build, nor the skills to back it. He was only good at one thing. Riding a horse. The pale man owned a large, brown horse, and was using it as a means of transportation, through the massive grassy field.

He was on the move for 5 hours after being exiled from his home, and he was already running low on food and water. The pale man and the horse, however, kept moving.

In the middle of the day, the horse stopped. “Hey girl,” the pale man says as he hops off its back. “You want some food?” The horse neighs, as if it can understand every word the pale man is saying to it. He hops off the horse, to let it eat the grass beneath their feet. The pale man looks into the distance. “There’s nothing to see or do,” he starts. “There’s no place I can return to,” “All I can do is ride.” And he did.

The pale man hopped back on his horse and rode for another 5 hours, against the beating sun. His legs sore from sitting on his horse for too long, he hops off his horse. The pale man, walking off his soreness, yet again, looks off into the distance, and finally spots something.

After 10 hours, he has finally seen something. A shack. He spotted a medium sized, all brown, shack. “Holy shit.” The pale man quickly jumps back on his horse and rides towards the shack. “You see that girl,” he says to his horse. “We can relax there for a little while.” They ride fast, the wind blowing on the pair’s hair. The pale man on top smiling, laughing, relieved, that he had a place to sleep for the night. They arrive at the shack.

As the pale man ties him up to a pole sticking out from the ground outside the house, he jumps up and down, full of excitement. He runs inside, there isn’t a single person in sight. All he finds is food that’ll keep him fed for weeks on end, and water that’ll keep him hydrated so he could live. He was in shock at what he had found.

The pale man relished in his discovery, eating, drinking and enjoying himself for hours. As the sun started to set, and the moon started to rise, and the skies were painted over with black, he continued to celebrate. When all was said and done, the pale man was full. He went outside to give his horse some water, then went back inside and fell to the ground.

His soreness catching up to him, and his celebration tiring him out, he fell asleep, and was content at the end of the first day.
