Rose Scented Lies.
you told me forever.
but looking back, those words that fell from your lips like petals off a flower, were rose scented lies rolling off your tongue.
you said that you loved me.
but i realize now that too was a lie, all part of your plan to keep me ensnared, wrapping me in your words like an ivy with razor sharp thorns.
they say looks can be deceiving and goddamn are you the proof. You don’t look like the devil yet here you are.
you tore down my walls, and every part of my being till i was nothing but an empty vessel for your hatred.
you never said that i was nothing, but you screamed it with your actions, till i believed i was as insignificant as a budding weed in an overgrown garden.
you said you’d keep me safe.
but all you ever did was make me nervous, you had me walking on the shards of glass that were your anger, avoiding each trigger like a landmine.
