I woke up tired, and unhappy. Why? I'm not quite sure why, but there might be one thing that has been bothering me lately, Jack. After Monday, something changed about me, but I don't know what yet. Maybe it's just growing up, but in math, Jack stood up and started helping Jonah; I felt something in the pit of my stomach. And I've never really experienced this, but I think what I felt was jealousy. After that, I just kept feeling strange when I saw Jack. It's like, when I look at him, I feel anxious. Anyway, I got out of bed and got ready for school. Today was mediocre, but in science, something happened. Jack kept talking to me, and then... we got chosen as partners for a project. I'm not mad that we have to be partners with Jack; it's more that I'm scared that I'll have to have actual conversations with Jonah rather than small talk, scared that I'll make a fool of myself in front of him.
The next few days, I tried to spend as little time around Jonah as possible and tried not to talk to him for a long time. But it was impossible to not look at him, his big blue eyes and kind smile were dreamy, and if staring at Jack for long periods of time without saying anything wasn't weird enough, he sometimes stared back.
