"This author knows how to set up a scene! This author knows how to drop details. Writing style 10/10 Mystery 10/10 Disgusting landlord present Magic Present Possibly Illegal Side Job? Definitely Fashion choices? I don't know. "Olive green trench coat and zebra stripped cami top." I'll have to see the bottom to know if it really goes together. Comedic break aside, I totally recommend this for lovers of Details, New York, Good Writing and A Bit of Fantasy. "

"First of all I like the characters in this book, for me it's libby's I don't care but I care attitude. The first chapter was amazing too, so direct and straight to the point, it had me captivated. But theres an issues, you trail off too long from the main conflict, ofcourse keeping us waiting is nice but if it's too long interests lessens. But apart from that I really love this book, the title is intriguing too, I have to give repsepct to the author for coming up with it. 👌"
Tragedies stranger than fiction
"First of all, epic opening. The first para followed by the rest of the first chapter was a very exciting hook as it truly gave the feeling of entering a world that already existed quite seamlessly. Further, I deeply enjoyed how we see characters paths crossing in different stories especially when they were off doing their own thing and their actions having consequences on the world. Now onto some parts I think could be worked on slightly: Sometimes after certain scenes, the characters seem to interact as if nothing just happened. I am aware it shows how this is their life and these occurrences are usual for them but it feels jarring as viewers when we suddenly go from murder to skating, or prostitution to pie. Another tiny annoyance is that characters are randomly called by different names which (while amazing when other characters call them that) poses a problem when the narrator does so too as it causes confusion. Overall, excellent worldbuilding! Keep it up!"
