The Meeting
It was a gloomy night with a bad rainstorm, and the wind was howling. There in the back street, on the eighth floor, Sarah, a woman in her early thirties, was in the living room with only a pale light coming from the corridor, sitting on her couch facing the balcony, and anxiously typing her first report about the secret archeological research she was doing with her team in the mountains. It was after midnight when the lightning struck, and she caught a strange shadow standing in front of her. She froze and asked bumblingly, "Who are you?". The shadow pointed a long golden stick with a blue jade at its end towards Sarah. A light blue beam pumped out of the jade and penetrated Sarah's head.
Suddenly, she found herself at the location of her research, but a thousand years ago. She was standing there with a young lady in a long white dress, both facing a temple. Two black African men, one with descent aristocratic cloths and the other seemed to be his servant, were staring at them. "They were here when the fire started," the young lady said bitterly, while the black man was smiling slyly.
With a deep gasp, Sarah woke up and saw absolutely no one in front of her. She was confused and shocked. What was that all about? Whose shadow was that? Who are those people? And above all, why did she see what she saw? She sat motionless on her couch, asking herself millions of questions trying to understand.
The next morning, the sun was shining brightly, and Sarah was preparing herself to go to the mountain. Although it was her day off due to the rainy storm last night, which made the soil there wet and muddy, she still wanted to go and check the site, trying to find an answer for what she saw last night.
She was wearing her coat when her cell phone rang. "Yes Raya!.... No, I'm still at home. I was going to the location to check out something...... Ok. I'm waiting for you."
Raya, Sarah's friend and colleague, rang the doorbell. Sarah opened the door and invited her friend inside. " What's wrong? Your voice seemed a little bit shaking when you were talking to me on the phone. Are you not feeling well !".
Raya was confused " Listen Sarah, and please try to understand what I'm going to tell you. I don't know how to start, but something really strange happened to me last night."
Sarah was anxious. She wanted to hear her friend's story. Did Raya see what she saw? " Don't worry, just relax and tell me what happened. I'm all ears."
Raya started " I was sleeping last night when I heard someone entering my room. I woke up and asked who was there, inspite of the dim light coming from the street, but I was able to see an African man wearing strange old cloths standing in my room and pointing a golden stick with a blue jade beaming towards my head. This is all I remember before finding my self in the location entering a temple, and then I woke up. There was no one in the room. I was really scared because I know it wasn't a dream."
Sarah calmed her down and told her what happened to her last night, and that she was heading to the site maybe she can find anything related to what she saw.
They both rode Sarah's jeep heading to the location. An hour later, they arrived. The place seemed so clean, the rocks were washed by the rain so more signs and symbols were shown. They were astonished to sea how clear the symbols were and how easy to read.
Sarah started reading the symbols with Raya trying to find the direction for the entrance door. The signs and drawings they saw showed that there's something very important under the rocks.
They took some pictures for the symbols and agreed to discuss it with the team in order to continue their work when the weather is better.
