Powerful story writing
"I can't imagine how challenging it would be to tackle a subject like bullying and homophobia that is so common amongst young children today, but I do know that P.C. Bezuidenhout did it with finess only a talented author like him probably could. With an unapologetically realistic delivery packed with emotion, Pendulum captures the effect of how powerful words can be from a very young age. The author keeps you at the edge of your seat, waiting to see what happens next. Parts of the story may have been told before, but never with such freshness, intensity and power. Fine writing at its best and a must read."

"For such a short story, there sure is a lot in there. I particularly enjoyed the ending, leaving it on a harsh note that has the reader wondering more about the character. Only thing I'd have to mention was that there were a few very small typos(missing a space after a period, for example), but overall it was a good, quick read."
