Book 1: Preface
...And at last he fell, slowly, as if his empty shell of a body was lighter than a feather dancing in the wind...as if death itself carried him in its arms.
The beating of his heart was the incarnation of sheer fatigue and grief, yet his face is expressionless and calm, he knew what his bitter fate was to become, he always knew, and he awaited it since that day, that cursed day, and for this moment ,his dead soul only craved for eternal peace.
Before his body touched the ground,he took his last glance at the sanguine sky above his head, which was moving further out of his sight with every moment that passed.
As the life began to fade in his eyes,he saw an illuminating light, resulting in an otherworldly peace which embraced his wounded heart, slowly putting it to rest, forever becoming motionless and still, entombed in its rotten coffin, his decayed worn out ribs.
that light felt warmer than the sun as it washed away the last bits of soberness away from his half melted mind.
Was it only a hallucination, he did not know.
The promised moment came,as he felt the life itself flowing outside the cold crooked walls of the reactor with his forlorn soul, the grass, the trees, the wind, the sky...
All surrounded by his solitude, imbued in death.
The bell on the divine mountain rang, the resonance called on him, embraced and took his spirit away,as if it was a choir of a thousand sirens murmuring his name, with such astounding delicacy and whispering grace that was beyond anything a human would ever hope to experience or understand.
But then a moment of fatal silence came, as suddenly everything seemed trivial and faunt at the presence of a greater thing, the great void, endlessly empty and dark, and its purview, greater than what a living being could ever comprehend.
His heart beat apace,it hurt in such way as it was shredded to pieces, torn apart, and his festering blood strived to find its way out.all he once loved and cherished, all his pain, his fate,... his life, all evanescent before the ubiquitous presence of the void, or mayhaps he took death for something else .
He was descending from the apogee, falling deep into the abyss,in that moment,he witnessed and felt each and every one of those meaningless sceneries of his petty and futile story, which in the end led him to end his own life in such pathetic way, all of those memories, and the obsession and the love he once had for that woman deep within his heart was now gone.
as if he was entirely detached from his soul, or even from the realm of the living, he felt nothing else but a heavy weight, pushing him further down in that void, and before everything vanished from the front his eyes.
His empty prison of a body has now reached the end of its road, emptied to the bone as it hits the ground and shatters into a thousand pieces.
So his pieces now dwell between the ashes, weltering in an ocean of his own blood, where the remains of his cold body forever rests , finally, in peace.
Finally, in peace.
