ENCHANTED

Diamond sat on the patio looking out on the road.

He couldn’t believe it.

His father Josh telling him that they would be moving hit him like a ton of bricks.

Josh sat at the dining table drinking ginger tea while talking to someone on the phone.

Diamond was devastated first his parents’ divorce now he has to prepare for a move to Sweet Valley.

“Diamond get inside” Josh yelled

As he stepped in he closed the door and almost immediately heard a sound coming from out of his closet .

Driven by curiosity he steps in and somehow he is in a whole other world .

“What is this place ?” Diamond wonders to himself as he spots three ladies sitting cross-legged with a strange book nearby chanting.

“Don’t be afraid Diamond” one of the ladies who is dressed in a turquoise dress and sandals with a moon-shaped bracelet on her arm says .

“My name’s Aurora ” She then continues as she points to the other two ladies and introduces them as Francia and Giovanna who are dressed similarly except one has a bracelet shaped like the sun and the other has a bracelet in the shape of the planet Saturn.

“Wait how do you know my name? I never said it .” Diamond says as he steps away in fright.

“Well, I had a vision of a young man stepping through the portal with your exact features searching for answers,” Aurora spoke up

“Is my dad you know ...” Diamond struggled to say the word that was coming to his mind.

“Well, your dad has certain abilities including the ability to move objects with his mind, superhuman speed, and shapeshift.

“Back away from me !!” Diamond yells then suddenly he looks at his hands and begins to shake as he sees sparks of electricity emanating from them.

“We’re only here to try and help you understand your powers .” Giovanna proceeded to say

“My dad’s a wizard then. If what you say is true, why is it that he doesn’t talk about them ?” Diamond queried his voice now filled with anger.

A familiar voice then said ” I didn’t think you were ready Your Highness ”

Diamond turned around around to see his father dressed in royal regalia and a crown.

“How’d you get here after all these years? we thought you’d forgotten .” Francia said a bit shell shocked

“I have my ways Francia,” Josh says coyly whilst Giovana and Aurora smile knowingly.

He continues ” It was good to meet you but I have to go. Diamond and I are moving back to my childhood home soon. That was where I first discovered my powers and a whole other side of my family in a whole other realm.”

With that Josh takes Diamond’s hand, says a spell and they are back in the living room.

Something feels off to Diamond and he says so to his dad who says ” Grab your things and head in the car ”

Diamond grabs his things and they both jump in the car .

Within half an hour they arrive at an airstrip and get out .

Josh gets out first to make sure no one has followed them .

He gives the all-clear signal to Diamond who gets out with his bags and heads on the jet .

Josh heads on the plane but not before saying a spell which causes the car to vanish in thin air .

Three hours or more later they arrive at their destination and Diamond upon spotting the house is unimpressed .

"Diamond wake up, " Josh says to his son who had fallen asleep after they got on the plane and then headed into a heavily tinted car to avoid being spotted.

It was too late however as someone had already blabbered to the local newspaper about their impending arrival.

It wasn't long before they were fielding calls from reporters to the point where they had to replace the phones in the house.

Diamond was unperturbed as he had become somewhat used to it living in the big city and of course, being one of the most sought-after high school cheerleaders in the whole country.

It seemed every school was looking to have him transfer there but he had long made up his mind.
