Chapter 1 (Not a Circus)
When you are in church, you are there to be a vessel for Jesus Christ. You are not there to show off, you are not there to be the ring leader of some kind of a circus.
If you are called to do something like singing, shouting, preaching or even just to testify, it is a calling from Jesus and if you pretend that you have the calling you can really hurt someone.
When you are doing what you say you are called to do, the holy spirit will let it be known it is the real deal, not something that is a show. So many times in the Bible there are people that say they are called to do something and when something happens to make it known that it is fake they want to pretend that they are not lieing that you just don’t believe. Come on, the father, the son, and the holy spirit will never lie, will never lead you astray.
Goes back to The Garden of Eden, when God told Adam and Eve not to eat from that certain tree, but they were tricked into it, but tried to hide and say it was the other. But God threw them out of paradise because he knew they were not telling the truth.
As today, the truth comes out, no matter how long it takes, God will let you go on and on until you pretty much are standing in the hole you kept digging.
Being called by Jesus to work for him in certain ways could not be any better in life. You are a child of him and you are supposed to be happy and proud to raise his name, and let people know about him. Bring the lost in.
But there are people that think that church is a place just to get noticed, like “Oh, I can do this and this and they will believe and I will be noticed” but not realizing that they are not getting away with it. You do not want to lie about being called to do the works of the Lord because there are ways that he can bring you down that you may not want. It is not to hurt you in any way, but it is for you to open your eyes, apologize to him, ask him to forgive you and hope you really do get the gifts that you pretended to have.
