Chapter 1
I was taking my usual walk to the subway when I saw that lady walking carefree who is the most comfortable on her own. She was carrying her toilet paper with her and moving to her house and mumbling something like "be normal", "have fun", and "enjoy". It was an indirect signal to me of the way I have become in all these years, How could she feel what I felt? Another lady who is also a misfit who carries big bags full of stuff and walks into the library every day, she was telling me "Enjoy, have fun".
The trauma that has filled me with psychosis was slowly getting visible to one and all, Yesterday in the park one girl told me indirectly while talking to her boyfriend about trauma-whatever, then she also said to her boyfriend that he is mental. When I was at Robert's house to help him, there also he told Lea about trauma, when she came to ask if we will all have coffee.
Every day the business as usual was going like this, I conduct my work from the central library and walk towards the subway to go to Werneuchen, a secluded town in the northeast of Berlin. It was an accident to reach Werneuchen because the landlady in Kopenick was a sex addict.
Foolish>Stupid>Crazy>loser>Clown>failure>special are the words that I mostly hear from people in day-to-day life indirectly. It resembles the state of life of the person and what he is going through in his mind.
I never approached a girl in my life, most of the time i asked a girl for coffee or get to know each other i always faced a "NO". Even my first girlfriend was the one who was interested to know me and as we were in the same school, we were introduced by our mutual friends and she researched me a lot. She knew about my fathers business, about my history and also a lot of things i didn't knew myself. We talked for a long time and used to meet regularly and finally became intimate and it became an addiction. It was just a fluk, and it ended being a fluke which lasted for a 7 long years. She went to U.S.A and was a green card holder so she found someone there while studying masters.
I came to germany in 2017 to study my masters and before that after finishing my bachelors in 2013 from Mumbai university i went under training at Deutsche bank and worked at ICICI BANK LTD and went a drastic transformation that brought change in me. On my first day of job i didn't know anything about sale and my boss told me to go out and bring new customers to open a bank account. i went out and an NRI identified me as a newbie by my skills but i don't ever give up, and within one year i was the best-performing salesperson in the branch and also in the territory.
Like vising other houses I visited this house and found an old man sitting and watching TV, enjoying his lunch, and found him to be a jolly person. His son came after a while, he was wearing a black blazer and came from a court case as he described to his father, i imagined as the village has no court so he was going solving their cases in the weekend, his son the lawyer was equally jolly as he met me and with a smile put my business card into his pocket.
The family-owned an entire village in the gir forest, where the only lion species could be found in INDIA, it was in their family since generations called as a cow protection NGO, and was held in a trust account. The secret of trust account is that trust don't pay any tax. And i helped them get digital banking, which they required hardly. After opening of the account they deposited $100 mn.
I went hardcore in my job and acquired a $100 mn investment through cold calling, it didn’t come as a stroke of luck or something but I went out and did door-to-door and distributed my business cards also on a Sunday and as the woman in the house tells me the man is not at home, so as all people don’t have offices at the same place so I went and started meeting them on Sunday which gave me a chance to meet a lot of new people and. My boss always used to ask me if I am giving new business card requests so where is the result, I had no answer. After acquiring the 100 mn he never asked me about a new business card request again.
I didn't get any commission so, but it gave me a boost to do "think big" i went on to sell my banking clients properties and thought even bigger and created a one-stop shop for all their needs like after meeting me they should visit anything else. Even if that service was provided by some other bank we gave them the service and created a one point of center for them. So, i created two business cards one which the bank gave me and one i created for all other needs. Even it has been 10 years since left the bank my clients still call me and ask for advice as they trust me.
After leaving the bank job i went on to bigger things and decided that if i could do it once i could do it again and again. I decided to go GERMANY for my masters and came to study here Responsible management - A branch of Corporate social responsibility. The guy who inspired me to study was Sasja beslik, a refugee who learned to speak swedish and became a investigative journalist who came to india and threatened some companies i.e chemical companies who were discharging chemical waste and industrial waste into the rivers and seas. He threatened them as the asset management company has invested a lot of money and they would take their money off if they were to continue this process. It gave me a spark of light that how not only mafia but a business person can be threatful as well.
I saw this guys video on youtube and it inspired me to do more good work and with that vision in my mind i came here to study my master and it turned out that the master experience was going to be a roller coaster ride as the bureaucracy of Germany can break you and force you to give up.
But i don't ever give up i have to be dead or something incapacitated. Upon graduation i was facing a challenge of searching a job and it was the time of COVID and there were no jobs, so i created one for myself. I reached out to the founder of the e-scotter who had just sold his company to an american. I knew they had money now and would do something next. The fouder told me that they required venture funding and didn't reallly were putting their own money into the new venture, i went out and started connecting them to the investors and would work like twelve hours everyday and generate meetings. Linkedin has blocked me two times into the process as they thought that it is automatic and it is a bot. So, after working 12 hours i used to watch videos of successful entrepreneurs on CNBC make it and one day they showed a video of "MIN LIANG TAN" founder of RAZER inc. He created the first gaming mouse and would further acquire THX an audio harware that we hear in the theater like dolby digital. I thought he is moving from computer peripherals to audio hardware and we are audio software, why not reach out to him, it could be his strategic move. And i sent him a cold message on Linkedin and with gods grace and blessings he became our main investor.
The founders there were not visionary enough and would close the startup within a short period. I went to work in Crypto and learned different things and how companies blitzscale and make a fortune their own empire.
While all these things were happening i would have gotten a number of chances to be friends with woman but i never initiated and kept my old school mentality of marriage, family and kids but it works as per gods will and our own plan.
Do you regret to not talking to the woman or do you forget it easily?
Which brings me to the question of is finding a life partner a destiny or do we also have a role in finding them?
The search of the German dream still continues.......
stay tuned!
Since childhood, i was a little different, i remember that my mom told me when i was born my grandma told me that i was slow. So they nicknamed me accordingly.
It had occurred in all phases of my life. There are three kinds of people in the world. One who knows how to react before something occurs, some react during something is happening, some think how i should have reacted after something has already occcured.
I was the third kind, slow and always thinking.
The berlin journey is interesting but things changed when i moved to werneuchen, my roommate upstair was a retired army guy, a young guy whom i didn't meet before moving to this new place. The landlady came to pick-me up and we kept all my luggage into the hanger she brought, while keeping the hangar i saw the army guy and was shocked more than surprised that how am i going to live with guy it will be a terrible experience for one and all.
