"Mommy,do vampires exist?"
"Kimberly...i dont know where youre getting all these from..but as far as I'm concerned..No..they don't"
"But mommy, i heard people talking about it" Kimberly said in a sharp tone
"I'm busy Kimberly" her mom said walking away
"Kimberly! I saw two vampires, walking on the street!"her brother playfull said
"Shut up Kart.."
"Don't be sad mom didn't answer you properly..you might see a vampire one day if you like"
"Seriously Kart.." she said in a dull tone
"I'm still your favourite even though im annoying, huh"
"Oh..please" she said as they both laughed and hugged
Present day, Carnaby
"What was I doing yesterday" Kimberly said yawning as she dragged herself out of bed. Checking the time she screamed
"I'm late..how did I sleep so much"
She rushed to her bath and came out shivering before she dressed casually and ran out of the house
"Kimberly Jones...20 minutes late"
"Shut up Brian..you shouldn't even be talking right now"
"Seems like you want the boss to hear this"
"Seems like you want to get fired" A deep voice said
"Good morning sir" Kimberly and Brian said
"Kimberly...into the office"
(In the office)
"Kimberly, I'll forgive you today only because you've made us proud"he said as he switched from being serious to happy
"Thank you so much sir...but i really don't understand this.."
"You have been selected by the World Historians Board to carry out a big research on the existence and history of Vampires"
"Yes!!..." she jumped"But sir, I thought people didn't like this topic?"she added
"You should see the replies and ratings on your blog about vampires"he said showing her his phone
"Wow sir...so when is this going to be?"
"We're not going to waste time at all..today will be your last day at work..from tomorrow, rest and know more about where you're going to..you'll leave on Saturday"
"Okay sir..but you haven't really said where I'm going"
"Oh..my bad..you'll be going to Krakenham.."
"Krakenham?..that's literally the home of vampires.."
"Isn't that your assignment there?..everything is prepared already.."
"Okay sir.."Kimberly said turning to leave

"Sir.."she said and turned
"Thanks.."
"Anytime sir.."
Kimberly came out of the office and then..
"I'm sorry about the sack letter Kimberly"Brian said mockingly
"Brian..I really think you should focus on yourself and how to seriously upgrade your life.."she said and walked away
(At home later that day)
"Bro..I'm scared..i mean you've heard of that place right?"
"Kim...don't be scared..this is your passion and you should go for it..
I believe in you Kim" Kart said assuredly
"Thanks bro..I'll call later..let me get things sorted out"
"Alright..bye Kim"he said and hung up
"Kiara..can you come over please" Kimberly spoke to her friend on the phone
"Awwn..you're lonely,I know..on my way "Kiara said
20 minutes later
"Kim.."Kiara said as she hugged Kimberly
"I've got news Kiara..big news"
"Fill me.."she said happily
Kimberly told her eveything..
"Yo girl..that's big..you know, I've heard a lot about that place..the myths about vampires..maybe it can be true"
"Exactly what I was thinking..."
"You know what...it could be good..maybe you can see a cute vampire and fall in love..hmm?" She said smirking
"Kiara!..I'm not talking about love..I'm talking about how I can die by getting eaten by a vampire...or even be turned to one..if there are any"
"You said it..if there are any..so why are you worried...besides..you'll look good as a vampire..didn't you like to cosplay like them at school"
"That's a really good memory though..you know what Kiara..I'm ready..I'll go to Krakenham,do everything and be out"
"Yes!!..that's my girl..."Kiara said as they both laughed
"No matter what happens..we won't be afraid"they said together and hugged

"What are besties for"Kiara said smiling"but the main reason I came is for us to plan some outings before you leave..oh I'm about to tear up"
"I haven't even gone...and trust me..we'll have a good time..till I get to the airport that day"
