“You are Pregnant” Grace whispered yelled at me
“Shut the fuck up” I fired back at her, she stared at me for some minutes before saying in a soft voice
“Are you gonna tell your parents?”
“Hell no, I mean they gonna disown my ass”
“Who the father?”
“Some random dude, I mean I can’t even get his face, I was drunk when we got down to business, woke up the next day and saw the mother fucker had gone leaving me with some money”
“He thought you was a one nighter” Grace said, I nodded
“Sweet Mother of God, your parents won’t take this lightly” Grace added pacing around
“Can you seat your black ass down, you getting me nervous”
“Say nothing to them, I need to figure out a way, I mean I can’t just break the news to em” I added, she nodded.
{Next Day, Mid Day}
Zuri’s Bedroom.
“Zuri! Zuri! Baby wake up” Someone said, I fluttered my lashes before opening my eyes
“Mommy” I called
“Why are you still in bed? anything wrong? do you need to see a doctor?”
“No, no mommy, I’m good”
“You sure?” I nodded
“Get ready, let’s have lunch together” she added before leaving the bedroom

“Zuri!” Mum called placing a hand on my shoulder
“Did you say something?”
“You are not eating”
“It’s delicious” I said
“How do you know that when you haven’t tried it?”
“Hello family” Dad voice echoed around the house
“Darling” Mum called standing up, she walked up to him and they hugged like they didn’t see each other two days ago
“I missed you” she added
“I missed you too baby” Dad said, I smiled
“Zuri!” I stood up from my seat and walked to him
“How are you my little baby” He said and pulled me into a hug, I coughed
“You okay?”
“Yes, your cologne was just too harsh” I said
“It’s the same one you’ve always loved” He said....ah
“Welcome back” I said, he nodded and we all walked back to the table.
“Why ain’t you at the company?” Dad asked after a while
“Oh she just got up not long ago, I think she’s sick” Mum said
“then get a doctor or something” Dad said
“I’m not sick Mum, and I’m fine daddy, I was just.....tired” I said and looked at Grace, she nodded
“Take some rest then” Dad said....I nodded.
The Walker’s Bedroom.

“Something is wrong with her” Andrew said
“I know that darling and we both know Zuri to be the talking type, especially with us, if she’s not saying nothing to us then it must be big” I said pulling the shirt from his body
“I’m going to have Zack keep a watch on her”
“Or why don’t we wait for her to tell us?” I said
“You sure?”
“Maybe she needs time to tell us, it won’t be nice finding out by having her back watched” I said, he nodded
“Come here darling” I added pulling him close......

Zuri’s Office.
Zuri Point Of View.
“I gotta say girl, you look pale, wadup?” Carter asked dropping a pile of files on my table
“I’m....” I paused and looked around. “come closer” I said, he leaned towards me.
“I missed my period”
“don’t be funny Zuri, be serious” he said
“I’m serious” I said, he used his right hand in covering his mouth and used the other fanning himself in his usual dramatic way

“Lord, girl, how did it happen?” I threw a look at him
“I mean I know how it happened, is it Liam’s?” He asked, I nodded negatively
“That’s right, you won’t be here looking like this if it was Liam’s” he said looking away, he paused and threw a fast look at me.
“Do not tell me” he yelled covering his mouth

“can you read it for me?” I said, the nurse stared at me, took the envelope back, opened it and said
“You are five months and some days”
“Five months and some days! Well how did you not get any heads-up?” Carter yelled
“Shut up Carter, you don’t get no heads-up on pregnancy” I yelled back
“You do, the sudden anger issues amongst others, I should have known” He said
“Let’s go home boy” I said standing up
“Here” the nurse said handing me back the letter

Walker’s Building, Zuri’s Bedroom.
“Five Months?” Grace yelled
“Grace” I said looking out for any sign of mum or dad
“I’m sorry, what you gonna do about it?”
“I don’t know, I really don’t know, I’m so fucked up”

“Don’t curse” I said, she nodded
My phone rang bringing me back from wonderland, I sighed and picked up without checking the caller
“Hey baby” the sweetest voice said

“go back home Liam, I got no time to argue with you” I said pressing a button on the ladder control

“Zuri! Baby” I called again but got no response, I walked into the bathroom hoping to find her in there but the bathroom was empty...... I hope it’s not what I’m thinking.
“Get me my phone” I said to Becky, she handed me my phone, I screwed down the logs of numbers and found exactly what I was looking for...
“Hey babe, how are you doing?” I said immediately the call connected
“I’m doing alright aunt, and you?”
“I’m okay, can you put Zuri on the phone?”
“Zuri? She ain’t here” he said, I laughed
“I know she with you, and I know you came up to her bedroom last night, I want to have a word with her”
“I’m serious aunt, Zuri isn’t with me, you should call her”
“I have tried, she’s not picking up, I will call you soon” I said and ended the call, I looked at Becky.
Her closet
I quickly walked to her closet and found it exactly the way it has always been.....
“Maybe she went out for a walk” Becky said.
“No, something ain’t right” I said opening the second closet, I found the closet empty.....Oh my God
“Grace! Grace!” I yelled running down the stairs
“Grace isn’t here ma” Becky said coming out of Grace’s bedroom.....oh no
“Calm down darling” Andrew said.
“She’s gone Andrew, our daughter is gone, she ran away” I said taking quick breaths
“She doesn’t have any reason to run” he said pulling me close to his side
“She left with some bags and now Grace is also no where to be found” I said, the door immediately opened as Grace walked in.

“Zuri? She should be in her bedroom, I will go get her” she said about taking a step
