Chapter 1
“I need more money for the ring.” A housewife, in a green hoodie, and bell bottom jeans says to the jeweler Aislynn. Aislynn was a certified jeweler. She was a the co-owner of the department store. It had several departments: clothes, home, kitchen, toys, furniture, and a jewelry department. It was also extended to a warehouse in case items got sold out, such as TVs, lawn mowers, laptops, items store back stock. Some days selling jewelry was easy, some days there was complicated customers.
Aislynn tries not to come off snarky tells the lady, “Ma’am that ring isn’t worth $5,000.”
The customer's voice begins to sound snappy, “It sure it! That’s how much my husband paid for.”
“Ok well you don’t get the exact value you paid.”
The customer exhales frustrated, “Just give me $5,ooo.”
“You can’t demand money!” Aislynn raises her hands to the customer.
“You don’t know shit, I want to see someone else.” The woman demands.
“No you can talk to me.” It would be nice to help her out really, but her ring isn’t worth that much. But once she starts disrespecting and yelling at her. Aislynn gets triggered. She tried being nice like she is supposed to, but she goes from 0 to 100 when triggered by some of these customers.
The lady bangs on the counter. Aislynn looks and shouts at her sternly “take it or leave it.”
Irritated and speechless the woman leaves the store.
Lucas POV
Mike and Lucas come in. Lucas notices the entertainment. He has his own room now, so why not get a TV?
Mike shakes his head, “so you want a TV? Would you need help picking one out?
Lucas learned a lot trying not to recall training and the mission, his speciality included being the medic on the team, he learned and always read technology.
The shop was rather busy todayIt was filled with customers. Line was long. A woman in a blue shirt and jeans. She was a bit taller than Aislynn. She wanted to pawn some earrings.
Aislynn is arguing with a customer. “STOP BANGING ON MY counter !”
“OR WHAT???!!”
IN HER FACE DON’T BANG ON MY counter!!” Aislynn yells. Ma’am I can’t help you.”
The lady wants to slap her, calling her a bitch, she can’t be helped.
Lucas notices her. She’s gorgeous. That ass. That fierce personality, and not afraid. Lucas stares in Aislynns direction.
Mike says hello, waving his hand in Lucas face. Lucas asks him, “what kind of jewelry you say you needed again?”
They go over to her. A jolt of excitement rushes to his dick when he walks to see her.
When they both shake her hand. Lucas smirks and is silent. Mike stands. She looks at Lucas and rolls her eyes. Mike stares at his friend. “Hi, I’m Aislynn.”
Mike introduces himself, “I’m Mike and this is Lucas.”
She noticed he glanced at her from across the room. He blushed when they just shook hands. They both looked young, so she assumed they were looking for jewelry for themselves, girlfriends, wife, etc. She broke the silence, “So how can I help you guys?”
Lucas nods his head. Mike talks, “I’m looking for some jewelry. For the girl.”
Aislynn’s tone is very blunt and straight to the point. “Girl?Like girlfriend? Sister? Daughter?…”
Mike nods. “Yes, my woman.”
Aislynn forces a smile as if that was an answer. “Ok. I still don’t know who specifically? That would really help.”
“Yea, a girlfriend…”
“So you have more than one?" Aislynn questions him.
“She’s…she might be the one.” Mike chuckles.
Mike’s energy does give off single, and not really ready for commitment. If he wasn’t committed it wouldn’t make sense. But this is what he came for. “What does she like?”
Mike’s face tightens. His mouth opens, “That is where I was hoping you could help me.”
Aislynn waves her hand to signal them to another section. Mike smacks Lucas’ arm to get him to stop daydreaming.
Walking down the showcase Mike slaps Lucas on the chest, “What’s the deal?”
Lucas like a schoolboy, blushing, dry mouth, would stammer if he talked. “She’s gorgeous.” Still looking in her direction.
Mike chuckles, “She’s probably older than you. She has a ring, which means married.”
Lucas doesn’t think about that. His eyes are fixed on her boobs in the black top and curvy thighs in tight black jeans. Mike slaps his chest hard, “Stop staring she’ll think you’re a creep.”
At he showcase she shows them sterling silver, “So what’s your budget?” She asks.
Mike tells her, “2,000 and up.”
She wonders what these 2 do for work. She took a brief look at the one who seemed shy around her. Brown hair, brown eyes, a nicely trimmed beard. Lucas was late 20’s facial features, about 6 foot tall, muscular, body shaped like a working out football player. His blue shirt was tight. It was hard to not see Lucas’s bulge weather you want to or not. He had a package. Her eyes roamed his body. However, there were 2 other girls at the counter staring at him or them. Their eyeswere wandering and it wasn’t the jewelry showcase.
To stop himself from gazing at Aislynn Lucas decided to go to the technology section onthe other side of the store.
Between Aislynn’s skills and Mike seeming to have good taste in silver jewelry he finally settles on a ring size 7.
Lucas meets up with Mike back at the checkout. He sees Aislynn and turns his head away. Shaking his head. The way she talks and walks is awakening something in him right now.
“Is it really that bad brother?” Mike asks. Not even wanting to look at the tight shorts Lucas always wears.
“No.” His body reacted naturally and he wished he had a textbook or sweater. It was not such a good idea to wear shorts to this store. Lucas tries to think of where to place his eyes. “I see they’re hiring.”
Mike, “Right.” He looks at the manager Aislynn a last time before he checks out. “Hey if it makes you not be a zombie anymore you have my support.”
