Summary

I could feel his breath fanning my face, his forehead on mine as our lips stayed millimeters apart. If I moved my head just a bit we would be joining lips. We were so close yet he refrained himself. An evident disappointment fell across my face once he pulled away. Those grey eyes stared down at me with a tinge of hurt and a feeling of rejection. Even if he could so easily have me, he was giving me a choice to decide if I wanted to have him in return, that I was sure I wanted this, which was stupid because desire burned through my essence for him. But he wanted me to take the first step of whatever was going to become of us. I guess it was his weird way of asking my consent. I guess actions do speak louder that words. Without a second to waste I locked my arms around his neck pulling him down and crashing his lips on mine. His hands wrapped around my body, pulling me tightly against him. This kiss was different, it was hot and feverish. It set my whole body on fire. Aurora POV

I'm sure no one likes to be told what to do and certainly no one likes to feel intimidated. Well I can't really say for everyone but I can for myself. I hate it when people use their status and power or even the influence that they have to belittle others.

That's one of the major reasons out of many my fist came in contact with my father's nose.

The way he stumbled back, holding his I hope now broken nose as blood gushed out from them was very satisfying. It would probably have been more satisfying if I could hear the crunch following my actions.

The whole room was a mess with broken and scattered items laying around. I secretly hoped he'd stepped on a piece of broken glass and that it stabbed it's way deep into his foot.

His mouth seemed to be moving as if he was cussing, but I didn't have time to stick around and read lips.

I took the distraction pushing past his now hunched figure that stood in front of my door and bolted out of the room.

I zoomed through the long hall way and down the stairs at record speed. The ground vibrated underneath me signaling a person behind me.

I ran at full speed through the living mentally hitting myself that the door was closed but that didn't deter me in the slightest.

In a matter of seconds, I was making full force contact with the door effectly breaking it, and probably one or two bones, before I was at the other side of a breath of fresh air.

I didn't slow down for even a second knowing someone was behind me, rather I picked my pace running into the awaiting woods. The cold air slapped hard at my skin as I ran likey life depended on it through the drake forest.

Occasionally their was the sting on my barefoot for stepping on a sharp twig or branch but I refused to let that slow me down.

Everything was dead silent, I was too scared to look back.

I kept running for what felt like hours determined to escape my horrible reality. My lungs burned for air but I kept pushing.

The cold air pricked at skin as all hairs on my body stood at alert. The fact that I was wearing an oversized shirt that barely came down to my knees didn't at all help my situation.

I didn't know if the forest were filled with sounds from animals, or if the twigs and leaves on the ground made a sound as my feet came in contact with them. It didn't matter that I was deaf, I was still grateful for the life I had. Although not a beautiful life, I was just happy I was Alive.

My feet made wrong contact with something, lurching me forward and causing my body to make harsh contact with the ground. The amount of pain that revisited in my brain was excruciating, almost like pouring salt into an open wound. I knew how terrible that was from previous experience.

I quickly felt around my surroundings, getting my bearings and standing up to my feet as I quickly scanned my surroundings.

The moonlight assisted my eyes as they searched through the darkness, I couldn't deschiper anyone which brought a tiny amount of relief to me.

The more I scanned the more unfamiliar my surroundings became, even if I wasn't really allowed to leave my house, I had attempted escaping one too many times in the past and I had never ventured this far.

My lungs greedily gluped down air like it was a competition, sweat glued the fabric of the shirt to my skin as it did to my hair.

I probably had been running for hours without realizing, the last time I checked the clock it was 8:23.

The thought of going back to that house was enough to get me running again. I didn't know where I was going I was Just letting my feet take the lead. The fact of that bastards hand on me encouraged me to pick up my pace.

I ran, jogged, limped, just to get further away. It didn't matter where I was going as long as it was in the opposite direction of that place it was fine with me.

I don't know how long I kept going but I could tell the sun was beginning to rise. It was amazing what will power and arderline could command in a person.

I could see my surroundings far more clearly now. Taking one look behind and seeing nothing, I slumped on a tree, sliding down on it as resting my body for support.

As what felt like minutes passed a d the sun rose out to become more clear in the sky, the bruises all over my body became more apparent and breathing became painful and the bruised side on my right would contract painfully everytime I took a breath. I didn't even to check it.

I sat against that tree for God knows how long, grateful for the fact that I could get to feel the sun's ray on my body and breathe fresh air unpolluted air.

I could feel my body shutting down. My muscles were too sore to move. I could feel myself gradually giving in to the fatigue.

At this point I didn't care if I was caught anymore, at least I was able to have this wonderful moment with the rays of light dancing on my skin.

It wasn't long until my fatigue took over, I was slowly plunging into darkness and for the first time in years I embraced it, letting it soak up every nerve in my body.

~~~~~~~~~~
Heavy droplets fell on my skin, while they weren't too harsh they weren't gentle either. The ground underneath me felt wet. I could feel the fabric of my shirt clinging tightly to my body.
My eyes peeled open. I didn't know how long I had been out in the rain. I watched as droplets hit the mud before making a small splash.
I pushed myself up on my elbow before pushing myself up against the tree, using it as support to get back on my feet. My limbs shook sporadically from the cold. And it didn't help that I had been laying on cold wet mud.
My palms had turned white suggesting I had been out for a quite a while. The sun didn't shine anymore like I remembered last, the sky was now a moody grey and common sense told me it was nearing nightfall again.
I quickly put my legs to use, pushing off the tree as I tried to situate my leg firmly on the ground before before attempting to walk.
It took a while but I was able to get my legs working again without them quivering and giving out underneath me.
I began trudging through the now damp forest as droplets of water graced my skin. The rain seemed to get harsher by the second. Almost like it was mocking me.
I walked the muddy path, for how long I couldn't tell, but the darkness of the sky became more apparent to me.
I stopped in my tracks as I felt something pierce into the skin on my leg, I bit my tongue resisting the urge to draw attention to myself if there was anyone else present in this woods.
I put my hand out holding the nearest tree in the distance and steadying myself. I then slowly brought my left foot up, making sure to keep it straight to not add to the pain on my right side. Once it was a good distance near me, I reached down under my foot touching the strange object.
I closed my eyes, mentally counting to ten before pulling it out, I quickly bit down on my lips to limit whatever sound must've escaped me. I stared at the disturbingly long nail I had just pulled out of my foot as blood gushed out like water.
I threw the nail far away from myself, steadying myself and trying to regain my balance when I felt a hand on my head, forcefully pushing forward, forcing my head to come in harsh contact with the tree in front of me.
The entire world spun in front of me causing me to topple over. My face came in contact with the wet ground once again.
My head pounded harshly, like someone was hitting on it repeatedly with a hammer.
I felt hands grab me, turning me over my back and pinning me to the ground. The sick and twisted face of the man who tried to violate me earlier came into my vision.
I felt my throat cut off, breathing became hard. Only then did I notice his hands warpped around my throat, squeezing.
My hand instinctively reached out, trying to claw his hands away with whatever little strength I had. My efforts seemed to be futile.
My vision became blur, I couldn't breathe.
Maybe this was truly the end for me. I slowly started to accept my fate, I could feel my hands going numb, my whole body felt numb.
I took one last look at the sick twisted grin on his face, disappointed that the last thing I saw before I died was the face of the demon that torments me.
I finally embraced death, letting it's darkness wash over me with the rain.
