Chapter 1
I get lost, and there’s nothing but a guess.
Either the forbidden fruit’s so sweet
Or if you’ve chosen a tough path
There’s no way to turn away from it.
Oh, how attracted; about her, I’m always dreaming.
While the brain is yelling, screaming:
“Throw it out of your heart!”
But the heart whispers, “No, let it be!”
And the whole night long, the fight;
And in my thoughts, it is only she.
Well, how can I sleep?
The brain screams in rage, “I’m closer to the eyes.
I can better see!”
The eyes are completely in surprise:
“Maybe you’ll finally ask us?
We’ve never seen such a cute creation in our lives!
Take her and lead her down the aisle ASAP!”
And the heart does not give up.
More often and harder, it’s beating.
The brain is for its own: “If, when I say, you aren’t believing,
Then maybe you’ll believe the soul?!”
The soul made a sudden moan:
“When you were together, like in paradise, I’d flown”,
No sleep, no rest, no peace. “What’s going on?”
And again, in the semi-darkness,
The pen in his hand flutters.
Leaving in the notebook the lines that no one needs
He ignores the advice of all his friends and relatives.
And his legs will again run tomorrow to her doorway.
The breath will be lost, and the lips will suddenly get petrified.
I’ll embarrass and scare her with my stupid smile.
From the happiness that I saw her, I’ll forget all the words.
Who the hell said there’s something that the brain controls?!
Теряюсь я, и ничего кроме догадок,
Толи запретный плод так сладок,
Толи уж если выбрал трудный путь,
С него никак уж не свернуть.
О, как влечет, о ней всё время мысли,
При том, что мозг орет, кричит,
Из сердца выкинь,
А сердце шепчет, нет уж, пусть,
И ночь всю напролет борьба, и мысли лишь о ней,
Ну как же тут уснуть,
Мозг в ярости кричит, к глазам я ближе, мне видней,
Глаза, те вовсе в удивленье,
Быть может, спросите у нас вы, наконец,
Мы в жизни не видали столь прекрасного творенья
Бери ее, веди скорее под венец,
И сердце не сдается,
Всё чаще, всё сильнее бьется,
Мозг за своё, мне не веришь раз уже,
Тогда поверишь, может быть, душе,
Душа вдруг сразу зашептала,
Когда вы были вместе, я как в раю летала,
Не сна, не отдыха, покоя,
Да что ж твориться то такое?!
И снова, в полутьме, перо в руке пархает,
Оставив, никому не нужные, в блокноте строки,
Мимо ушей советы всех друзей, родных он пропускает,
И завтра снова побегут к ее подьезду ноги.
Дыхание собьется, опять вдруг онемеют губы,
Ее смущу и напугаю своей улыбкой глупой,
От счастья, что ее увидел все слова позабываю,
Кто ж, черт возьми, сказал, что мозг там чем-то управляет?!
