The break of day didn't seem to excite her today, Ella stayed in bed for about 30 mins starring at her ceiling. Before noticing the cracks on the walls and the dampness of the floor from the rain last night

"I need to get out of this house" she told herself.
And that was all she needed, just the thought of a better life, a better home, better food and clothing. Enough money to take care of her younger brother and her sick mother. That was her fuel to start everyday, it was no lie she was tired physically and mentally but she had no choice.
While getting dressed for work Ella looked at her self in the mirror, she was still in her youthful days but harder days has taken a toll on her appearance. She was leaner now and her skin color had darkened. None of these bothered her, she remembered how her father always loved the way she looked even if it was for the wrong reasons, a place was reserved for him in her heart.
With one last look in the mirror she was ready to move.
The road was quite busy for a Thursday morning, "i wonder if there is a holiday coming up" Ella asked herself. Holding her bag with care, she stood at the bus stop waiting for bus, the first one heading to her destination passed then the second and they were all filled up with passengers. Minutes went by she was still standing under the bright morning sun. A bike passed by and she thought why not board it and get to her destination faster.
She thought it was an imagination when she saw a person dressed in black on the rear mirror of the bike when she got on.
Mixed feelings bubbled in her about the journey but she chose to ignore.
The motorcycle ran into a heavy duty truck which that had a faulty break
It all happened in flash, she couldn't hear the noise around her or the pains on her body, like a vision she saw her lovely mother healthy and hearty with her brother who looked very wealthy.
" is this what it feels like to die, i don't want to go yet" she thought.
She felt life seeping out from her breath by breath till the end.
Ella died that morning and her story ended her plans and dreams for the future ended.
