"That was... wow. I am left almost speechless after reading this. And, I am the farthest thing from reticent. Quite near perfect, is what I should say. Truly. I find my mind pensive and drawn to deep thought after that short read. Yet it's also clear and open to free flowing consideration. Interesting... Both the writing itself, and my frame of thinking, post read. In attempt of ceasing this increasingly convoluted dribble of my head's every notion, in near real-time no less, I will do my best to wrap up below (still including my drawn out, stumbling intro, to underline how affecting the peice was). This bite-sized telling of a 10 year old's well-nigh suicide attempt is straightforward, and almost simple in how it's relayed to the reader, as if being spoken by the child himself. And yet, it is quietly powerful in message. Both serious and sweet, while lalso aced with hints of self-deprecating humor. All done in a way that comes off neither morose or trivial. All in all, it's actually quite poignant and lovely. Thank you for this share. B "
Overdose
"I love the way the author was able to show the thought process behind what happens when you overdose and being able to show the emotions that encompass you as you're making the steps toward the fatal decision. I think most importantly this small piece was able to grasp those crippling seconds that make the heart race and show the way time seemed to slow down after the realization of regret. Your breath is hitched when reading this, waiting for those strenuous seconds that the overdose had begun. I think the author was able to get readers to realize why they had done it, and the darkness that seemed to penetrate through them and to overall assume their mental and physical states of well-being. Being able to show that kind of struggle, pain, and endeavoring fight to regain what was lost and what was being taken from you was what made this story real and raw. I want to thank the author for being able to share their experience down to the notion and justification for why they had done what they were going to do, why they were going to do it, and the overall complexity of things for why it wouldn't have mattered. I think personally from reading this, readers are given a real and painful perspective on the overall concept of overdosing. I believe society deems people not only with mental issues, but people who choose to take their own lives in the moment, that society looks down on them, and sees them as selfish and ungrateful rather than seeing past those barriers and realizing that people are fighting a fight much stronger and bitter than one will ever know. Going through your mind and having bits and pieces of your mentality being chewed by the wrathful darkness, no one will ever experience the exact emotions you had gone through. People will be able to relate and understand but in the end, it comes down to you. The anguish and agony the author had to go through and being able to express and share openly with us readers deserve all the admiration and understanding. I would extend readers to read this book with care and with an open mind. I would also like to extend again that if you or someone you know is dealing with what is described in the text you will always matter and we love you. Thank you, this piece was truly captivating."

"This put me on the edge of my chair. Pills scare me, because there could be anything in them, and you'd never know. And when you do know... Well written. I think it can be refined, especially in the beginning and at the end. Our struggles make the best writing, because we all relate, somehow."
