Chapter 1
A mountain’s bright orange glow
spews forth a molten rock river flow
Cosmic Stylus etches deep ruts
upon the ground
Inscribes a signature for all
future worlds to see
Laid into my eyes a memory
I must carry through
My life expands upon Earth’s grimace
of universal solitude
And so the interlopers intrude
To this I declare to the gods
I have come of age
I spew from my mouth this much rage
The ripening of the pauper
honed into a Sage
My eyes have seen the depths to which
the ground has sunken
and I have fallen too . . .
