CHAPTER 1
Veronica POV
"DAMN!! What's wrong with you." I said angrily to my secretary who was visibly shaking as I was still shouting at her for her laziness. "I gave you last week to finish thos projects and you are still telling me that you are still working on it when you clearly know that the deadline for that project is this Friday". I gave a cold look as she was trying to give me an excuse. "I-I'm s-sorry mam, b_but my mom fell sick last week a-and i had to take c-care of her." She stammered still shaking with her eyes glued to the floor. I sighed rubbing my hand on my head." Make sure this work is done this night and to be submitted tomorrow morning." I told her to go back to work that I'm leaving office early. As i was packing my things, I suddenlt did not want to go back home, to that loneliness. Then I decided to head out to a club completely disguised.
IN THE CLUB
I took the glass and started to look at the amber liquid inside the glass as I remembered as i remembered my previous "love life".
*Flashback*
I entered my penthouse to see that it was scattered with clothes, still thinking that my housekeeper is here to do my laundry and as i entered the living room as I saw the clothes of my boyfriend and it was lying besides a female clothing that I didn't think it was mine. I held my breath as i walked into the room as i heard them laughing. I tried to keep quiet in order to hear what they were saying. My boyfriend was holding a woman gently as he spoke to her." She's so dumb, she listens to my every demands and fulfils them without even asking why. I cant wait to milk her dry so i can use them on you my beautiful darling". He says and then kiss her on the lips as she giggles. I was so heartbroken and so furious, as I remembered all those lies he told me that he was going to marry me. I left the place in tears. As i was in my car crying, i thought of the worst ways to revenge amd then I thought of his pathetic growing company, I decided to shut that down since it was growing from my money.
*Flashback ends*
I was already crying as I remembered all those pains. I drank more and more until i was feeling drunk. As I was about to finish the last drink, a hand held mine and it took the glass from my hand, I looked at the person and i was completely blown away as I daw the person's face.
