Selena Dickinson. I'm 10 years old and living with my parents at the moment till they start drinking again. I have three siblings but it's like I don't have them sometimes because there is only so much they can do.
My big sister is 26 years old; my second sister is 23 years old and my brother is 20 years old. And they have their own problems, so I deal with the problems at home by myself. Life wasn't always like this, we were a happy family at one time, but things changed
. My mom is the cause, but I love my family. But sometimes there is only so much one can take. It's Monday morning. I awake to my mom screaming my name to get up for school. It's 7am. I have to reach school by 8.30am, so I got up and came out of my room.
My mom is already leaving for work and dad has already left. By the way, my mom's name is Lisa and my dad's name is Leon.
So, when my mom saw me, she said there was no breakfast and no lunch for me and no money. I will have to see what I will do today. But that's okay. I have friends who will help, but I didn't tell her anything. She left and I got ready.
I took a shower and put on my white shirt and blue skirt and put on my white socks and black pumps and grabbed my bag and head out. By the way, I have to walk to school. It's a 15-minute walk. But I'm a fast walker. I got to school just in time for the bell. I got to class and I met my friends, Sarah and Emily. We chatted till the teacher came.
