Jealous of a sosig!
"A sizzling read filled with lots of long sosigs. This short will have you breathless from paragraph to paragraph as you experience impressive, well-written dialogue and prose. The sosigs are def on the nose, and the characters can't get enough. The ending is also pleasantly cut and warm enough not to burn. Although I wanted to see more of Maik's skills in sosig handling, you gotta be gentle; I am delighted with the meal."

"Short cute sweet tale"
Delicious!
"Definitely listen to the warning not to read while hungry! The food descriptions are top-notch, but so are the character descriptions of these two awkwardly adorable men. Thanks to the short story format, the tension hits just the right amount of anticipation before payoff without any unnecessary drama. Super cute, quick read!"

Clever and Humorful
"Overthinking Andrew meets the handsome and reserved butcher, Maik, over a spicy discussion of meat cuts. As each begins to silently pine after the other, tension builds, inevitably to reach a breaking point. I must say, the writing is impeccable - I didn't notice a single error in punctuation, grammar, or spelling. The author plays masterfully with words, creating a playful (and somehow still intense) dialogue. The characters feel real, and the setting genuine. I can't say there's much to speak of as far as plot goes, but the humor does not disappoint. On the down side, most (I'm assuming most, as I don't know how long the full-length work is) of this story is not available for free. As simple as the tale is, however, I did not find the cut-off point particularly disappointing. As another reviewer stated, this can be read and enjoyed as a short story, without fear of loose ends flying free or cliff hangers compelling anyone to empty their pockets. I respect the author for that."
