An old flame

You tattooed my face on your body

The arms and legs that held me so tight even though we were miles apart.

I know your new love is there now wrapped around your arms in a new type of way.

The way you wrote to me and even told me you loved me

Telling me sweet nothings poisoned with lies

I'm glad I am not with you

I know for fact you are still in love with me from all the music you made

Pitter patter

Pitter patter

You wanted me in the kitchen taking care of children

Money money money all you cared about

Pitter patter

Pitter patter

Perfect images in a fake frame held on your bedroom wall

I'm not built for that sexist connotation with playing house

Pitter patter

Pitter patter

Without any work to do I'll go mad but you already experienced this before with me

I can't pretend to be a trophy wife with dead dreams of ambitions

I was nothing but a teenager with hopes in my eyes

Pitter patter

Pitter patter

You took that from me robbed me and wrapped me up in your empty fairy tales

In one ear out the other

Pitter patter

Pitter patter

From one human being to another

I hope you find what your looking for in your new wife with old ambitions wrapped in a pretty little bow

Enjoy your lies

To your new wife with her band new baby

Let me know when you need to escape from that man because he is crazy
