Beverly high school
Treasure's pov
"Morning treasure", my best friend Ashley greeted as she beamed at me but I could not smile back.
"Morning ash", I replied with a strain voice.
"What's wrong sweetie? You are a huge mess right now", she stated as she immediately felt worried.
"It's about my parents", I said as I burst into tears making some students passing by to look towards our direction.
"Come on let's go to the computer lab,we can talk there", she said as she dragged me to the computer lab.
" It all started about two weeks ago when I was was in the living room with dad and he received a message on his phone,I noticed his expression Change to that of anger and immediately knew that something was wrong."
"Did you ask him?.... Why he was upset?", She asked.
"Before I could utter a word he had already stepped out, slamming the door and drove out....he came back drunk which was really shocking because my dad doesn't do that.
"What about your mom?", How did she react?", Ashley asked.
"She was really worried because dad wasn't picking his calls and when he eventually came home drunk,he didn't let her touch him".
"And that's how it has been ever since then but it just keeps worse, sometimes my mom gets called to pick him up from some random bar when he gets so drunk again.
"That sounds awful", Ashley wiped my tears away and gave me a handkerchief.
"I feel bad for my mom,I've tried talking to him but he ignores me . He doesn't even go to work anymore", like I'm pretty sure that if he wasn't the company's owner and CEO he would have been fired", I replied.
" Well you definitely have to do something about it", Ashley said with a serious look.
Ashley and I have been best friends since we were in diapers,she knows about everything In my life just like I know about hers. She really hates to see me unhappy.
"What do you think I should do?", I asked.
"I think you should try talking to them when they are both home, just let them know how badly all this is affecting you".
"Thanks bestie,I love you", I embraced her.
"And if it doesn't work out then I would walk towards your house and give them an earful".
"Of course I know I've got you by my side now matter what".
Ding! Ding! Ding!(SCHOOL BELL RINGS)
"We have to leave for maths class or we'll be late".
"Thanks again,"I said as we left for maths class.
AFTER SCHOOL
"Hey mom? Dad?" ,I called out as I entered but got no reply. Concluding that no one was home I proceeded to walk towards my room .
Hearing voices,I halted in my steps and tiptoed towards the sound only to meet my parents arguing again just that this time it seemed a bit more serious.
"Juliet I'm really tired of all this, can't you just let me be? It's all I'm asking for",I heard my dad say to my mom.
"But all I need is a chance to explain... I didn't do anything, trust me and hear me out pl ...
My dad cuts her off
"Don't bring Treasure into this and do not ask me to trust you because I trusted you once and we both know how that went out.
"Try to understand Jake", mom replied.
"Understand what?!,that you sleeping with my business partner and Ashley's dad is a mistake?! For God sake his daughter his treasure's best friend!", He yelled.
"Mo - Mo - mom how could you?"
"I can explain list _"
"There's nothing to explain, everything is ruined and I've lost my family!,"I yelled immediately cutting her off.
"Treasure..... I think you need to calm down",Dad said as he began to slowly approach me.
"I do not want to calm down,I hate you mom! I hate you for hurting both dad and I.",And with that I stormed off ignoring the voices of my parents.
"Treasure!!!", They yelled in unison.
It's been an hour now since I left the house and I still have no intention of going back.
I was now in the part of the forest,the part that was forbidden to go into.
Rumors have been heard about a monster living deep down in here that kills any human that trespasses.
Not like I believe in any of that crap so I kept walking further into the woods not taking note of my surroundings but abruptly stopped when I found myself standing in front of an old mansion.
This got me so awestruck, how can something be beautiful yet scary at the same time.
"I think you should turn back and leave ",my naive side adviced.
"No you have to go in and take a look, what if you get to solve some mysteries and maybe find something to show your friends", My adventurous side argued.
Shaking them all off,I decided to quench my fire of curiosity by stepping in.
Only the creaking sounds of the door opening echoed in the mansion.
Finding the switch,I turned the lights on and was even more surprised.
I was expecting cobwebs and spiders but it surprisingly looked neat and well kept.
Golden chandeliers hanging so high in the ceiling.
It was really well furnished with a really big TV and play station controls scattered on the floor,a guy must be living here.
I still can't help but feel astonished,this was a sight to behold.
Walking through the whole place,I realized there were 25 rooms,an inner swimming pool and jacuzzi,looked like whoever owned the house doesn't really like being seen.
If only I could stay here forever and not have to face my parents but I have to leave, maybe I'll go to Ashley's home,oops I just remembered that my mom is having an affair with her dad, maybe she already knows and now hates me,I thought.
Well.. I should just leave and face whatever it is life throws at me.
Opening the door and stepping out,I collided with a wall that caused me to stumble back inside.
"Who are you?"
I heard a really deep voice ask but still kept my head down because there was this odd energy coming from him that sent chills to my spine.
Raising my head,my eyes were met with the most beautiful pair of grey eyes.
He looked adorable but dangerous too,oh and his hair was at shoulders length and his lips,looked so ravishing,it felt like they were calling me to have a taste.
He kept staring at me like I was some kind of book that he was trying to discover or read
"I - i need to leave", I stammered as I found the floor more interesting.
"My eyes are up here and you still haven't answered my question. Who are you and why are you here?", He asked again as I felt really short compared to him as he towered over me like a predator.
"T - Treasure,my name is treasure and I'm sorry for coming into your house but I would like to leave now though," I replied feeling my confidence slowly coming back.
He chuckled loudly which echoed but also got my fear creeping back up.
" Ok let's get this straight......you came into my eyes uninvited, I could call the cops but I haven't and you're still trying to prove yourself right". He clapped as he grinned widely.
"Please just let me go, I'm sorry... My parents would be worried,it was a mistake", I pleaded.
"Hm, mistake?.??? Ha! If only you knew it isn't a mistake and this was meant to happen." He declared.
"I don't understand, meant to happen?", I asked.
"Well ....My love,I've been waiting for you and you finally came back to me after all this years".
"Years? What do you mean?"
"I was told that you'll be reborn and would find your way back to me,same soul but a different body", He said as he caressed my cheek with his fingers which sent jolts of sparks across my boat causing me to move back.
"W - What was that", I asked because it seemed like he felt it too.
"It's what I'm trying to explain, We are kind of connected,we are mates and it's normal to feel this sparks when we touch each other," He explained as he tried to move closer to me but I held out my hands signalling for him to stop.
"Ma - Mates? How? What? Are mates and how are we connected,I don't even know you and I've never met you before... Or are you some kind of long lost cousin?", I asked causing him widen his eyes as he laughed nervously.
" Looks like I've got a lot of explaining to do", he said as he shaked his head with a sigh.
