Mending My Broken Heart

Summary

Most of my life, I had health issues. As far as I can remember, in fact. This is poetry about my current sturggles.

For my family

Its always different

Different doctors

Different tests

Different diagnoses

But every time

I walk through

Every time I sit down

All i think is

"Oh god"

And wait

When my name is called

I think "what does today bring"

Then ask myself "more tests"

"More diagnosis"

"Another doctor referral"

As an adult

I should no longer fear doctors

Yet because of chronic illnesses

I always will
