Chapter One

CRACK!

"Fuck sake!" I curse as my uncle, Armen puts my nose back in place.

"Don't be a pussy." He huff's with a laugh.

"I'm no pussy, you know that. You made sure of it." I say back to him as I stand and head to the showers and clean the blood of my last competitor off of my knuckles.

I'm a MMA fighter, a pretty good one too. People chant my name, my face is on posters and the media talks about me on the news. I hate the fame, I love the sport. I've always had issues with my anger and when my parents died and I went to live with my uncle Armen, he bent me into shape. Made sure I had somewhere to focus my anger, focus that hate I felt inside about my parents death.

He owned a small boxing gym and would help the kids in the neighbourhood, gave them somewhere to go and let out their frustrations. With my first big win I bought him a bigger gym, it was the least I could do. In my youth and my times of acting out I would often forget that he lost his brother and sister in law, they weren't just my parents, they were a son and daughter, brother and sister. And they left a huge hole in so many people's hearts.

They were very giving and warm people, my mother would read to me in Armenian, and my father would help me with my homework. Losing them broke me. My uncle Armen, well he took me in and put me back together. I owe him everything.

He trained me hard and gave me more than just somewhere to focus that anger, we were a family, it was goals and a future to look forward too, instead of a life filled with crime, attests, drug use and then death.

Fighting was my therapy. Should I have gone and seen a professional? Yeah, probably. But this worked for me, feeling the anger I bottled up physically leave my body with each hit, each kick and Over the years I learned to control that anger.

I felt like i went from loosing it all to being able to build something for myself and thinking I had it all. I had my career which made me a very comfortable living. I had a beautiful home, friends and my uncle.

I use to think that's all I needed, sure I had women that I had slept with, had a regular that I would hit up after a match. Its not like I had trouble with womn either, I wasn't the cocky type to think I was the best looking guy around but I wasn't dumb either, I knew I was a looking guy.

I had short dark brown hair, eyebrows and eyes with

Light skin, very typical of my heritage. I was the fittest I could ever be with abs and toned muscle, and I was tall too at 6'3.

I never thought about having a family of my own. Never pictured me a husband type, a settling down type. But that all changed and flipped on its ass the day I saw Natalie Davis for the first time in a photograph in the paper.

I have seen many a pretty girls in my 34 years, but this one was different somehow. I don't know how or why, but she was. She grabbed my attention with a death grip and hasn't let go. I'm not mad about it either, I quite like it.

She is tiny compared to my 6'3 frame, I could pick her up and throw her around like she weighed nothing, and I liked that thought too. She has the most perfect cupids bow you've ever seen, accompanied by the prettiest shade of pink to those lips of hers.

I've had daydream after daydream of kissing those lips. She haunted my dreams in the best possible way too, digging her claws in and latching herself to my very being. She was everywhere and nowhere, and I hated that she was not physically with me.

Her big green eyes are framed by black lashes and brows. Her hair is so long and dark all I can think of is wrapping it around my fist while I pound into her from behind. She has curves in all the right places, even if she is petite and her skin is a beautiful olive tone.

I've become obsessed since coming across her, to the point I've had my friend collin, check her out. Look up any information he can on her. He delivered. I found out she is 10 years younger than me at 24. She is the daughter of a very well known politician, Gregory Davis, who also happens to be friends with my next competitors father.

Psycho is his name, my next competitor that is. I also found out that my obsession is engaged to that piece of shit. That just won't be happening, I wont allow it. I don't care who her father is or what he does, she will be mine. I had a brief look into Natalie's life, what she got up to and what she liked but there wasn't much info.

I've had collin look into Gregory Davis as well, finding out that this little engagement isn't quite as romantic as one might think. Natalie's father has essentially given her to his friends son. That's what it looks like to collin and I, anyway.

Psycho's real name is Kyle Bradbury, and his father owns a very lucrative business and donates to Natalie's fathers campaigns. This is just another business transaction to Gregory, but for Kyle's father Nathan Bradbury, she's the perfect asset to have while also making his son look good. Kyle's had alot of bad press lately so having a politician's daughter as a wife, will look great. Plus it will help get Nathan Bradbury higher on the political food chain.

As I said, that will not be happening. The minute I laid eyes on that beautiful creature, she became mine. I've spent the last 3 weeks getting myself into the best condition I can for this upcoming fight while also doing as much research about Natalie and Kyle. I need to know how he fights so I can beat him, not just beat him, but take his fiance too.

When Collin looked in to her background he found hospital records. She has had one broken wrist and one gash on her head that required 6 stitches. When I read that my mind raced with possibilities of how she could have gotten those injuries. The notes on the file said she fell down some stairs but I just have this feeling it's a lie. Someone hurt her.

She got them before her and Psycho got together, but his background check showed multiple arrests, either drunk and drug related or violence. I don't trust him, especially not with the most precious thing in the world to me. She's not just an obsession. I tried to tell myself that's all this was just an obsession that would go away. But it hasn't and it won't, not even when I have her.
