God of War [Urthycious] pov:
After watching the 5th WW2 documentary in a row, I was bored, then I thought of a great idea that involved another god which I bet is also very boring right now.
“Hey, Morgana. I’ve got an idea!” I told the god of creation,
“Urthycious. What idea are we talking about here?” Back came the childish response,
“Listen to this…”
So the idea is that we would ask people in their dreams in this world a fairly simple question regarding the self-proclaimed ‘time of survival’ if they were to be transported to another world, a fantasy-based world that people commonly see in video games or anime.
The responses we got were expected
“Survive, more like thrive.”
“Til the end of the world, I’ll become immortal!”
“Probably until I die of natural causes, how hard can it be?”
“Probably die fighting to demon lord!”
We were entertained for a while, until the responses got predictable, until one unique encounter.
The first thing we see when we enter their dream is a white room, it’s All we can see is white, and in the corner of the room sits a 14-year-old just staring into space. We were pretty taken back at the scene, Morgana quickly created a file on the person we were looking at. They seemed to be your typical student with stable grades even though they never study, spend most of their time in front of the computer, have black belts in a few martial arts when they did it when they were younger, know how to use most weapons when she self-learned them in her free time, use to play football professionally for the country they lived in before they moved away, and is also a respected author in the action and fantasy genre with many novels being adapted to mangas and animes which many fans consider to be iconic. But what set us off was her dream for the future, from all this information, one might think that she would want to be in the hand-to-hand combat field or the fiction field and even something in the academic field as a teacher or scientist with her effortless stable grades, but no, she wishes to be able to open a coffee shop and to be able to serve others a refreshing coffee to start their day off with a smile.
Another thing is that when we look at their hopes when it comes to their love life, it simply says” Who would want me?”
To say that we were curious would be correct, the trend of “High hopes and expectations in the future but so far has accomplished next to nothing” might now be broken by a 14-year-old.
So we approached them,
“Hey! Can you hear us?”
“Yes, I can.”
“Can we ask you a few questions?”
“Yes.”
“Can you tell us your name?”
“I’m Rei.”
“How old are you?”
“14.”
“What do you think is your status at school?”
“That one quiet kid.”
“What do you think you’ve accomplished as of now?”
“Not much.”
“Elaborate.”
“I haven’t accomplished anything.”
“What do you think of your physical abilities?”
“Average to below average.”
I turned to Morgana to see if we were looking at the same person that was being described in the files, She motioned that it was indeed Rei who was described within the files, so I dropped the question.
“If you were to be transported to a fantasy world, how long do you think you would survive?”
Without hesitation, they answered,
“No.”
“No?” I ask them
“No I wouldn’t survive if the fantasy world you are talking about is the one where magic and monsters are real and are set in a medieval setting, I wouldn’t survive half a day,” they answered.
Why are they like this, Their physical prowess can at least let them survive a month, but before we could keep asking questions, everything started to disappear,
“Goodbye, I’m waking up,” Rei said to us in a monotone before we were kicked out of their head.
Well, ain’t that a surprising encounter, Rei would probably want us to leave her alone, well, too bad, you have piqued our interest.
To get more information about Rei, we sabotaged *cough cough* and replaced some of her school assignments with papers of our own.
We turned her English essay from ‘Which salad variation do you think is the best and why?’ to ‘ If you were to be transported to a fantasy world, who would you bring and why?’, her art project from ‘Draw a drawing of how you think you would look 10 years from now’ to ‘draw an in depth drawing of what your armor and weapons would look if you were to be transported to a fantasy world then explain their usage’ and made the tech quiz into a questionnaire on what types of magic would they want if they were to have magic.
From that you can probably guess what we are going to do, give Rei the things she unknowingly requested, and transport her into a fantasy world of course.
The way we’re going to transport her is of course with our trusty friend, Truck-kun.
