Chapter 1
Mrs Ntanya gazed at het bouncing baby in joy and delightment in warm and sweet affection. She seemed to be more happier than ever rejoicing greatly over the safe delivery of her child. "What if I never had my baby" She thought smiling wistfully. The atmosphere is joyful and exciting, full of countless ecstasy over the celebration of the boucing baby girl, as it pictured like they've been granted the best of a million wishes. "What a relief! she gave birth safely, still hale and hearty" said her female friends gleefully. This was actually the prevailing talk of the people, most of which were made by the fellow women, Who were her friends and relatives of The Ntanyas. Mr Ntanya sat there quietly, a stirring of happiness greatly enveloping her heart, as he glanced at his beautiful baby girl, every single moment. In the arms of love, they received many lovely and gratifying items from well-wishers. Mr Ntanya felt he was given the lion's share. "It was too much!," He said, with his glittering with joy. More appreciating were items gifted by church members, which was so gratifying that they find dying to stare every single minute of the day. The gifted items included baby dresses, packs of drinks, cans of baby food, three cans of tin milk and many more, were gifted. Mr Ntanya couldn't accept less of the items even though they were numerous. He continually expressed his gratitude to them, because of the penniless condition of he and his better half. Life seemed to have not been favourable to them. They were too penniless to affoed all these things which they see as unexpected blessings from God. They even received from the unacquainted ones.
It was the fourth week after her delivery. Mr Ntanya planned on getting a beautiful and special name for the baby girl. Mr Ntanya had been on thw lookout for a sweet and pleasant name to hear."She will be named Regina ", She said enthusiastically , excited that she had gotten a precious name for her baby which seemed the best of a million female names. "Wow! You've got a beautiful and lovely name which will sound sweet and pleasant to the ear" Her husband said gaily eith a clear impression on his face . Yes I got the best of a thousand beautiful names" She pointed out ecstatically . Regina was loved band admired by everyone , most especially passersby Who saw on being carried by Mrs Ntanya on the back warmly during her outdoor routine as a Trader. Due toilliteracy and less enlightment of Mr Ntanya's person , I would rather say he is among the individuals of low status,Mr Ntanya had no sustainable Job that would be able to satisfy the needs of the family , as the bread winner of his family , now that a baby hdve been added. He most times fancies a life being in the realms of wealth but they all seemed to be a castle in the air. That's quite too disheartening!
It waa six months after. Gina is a litter bigger than her former self . She was growing to be more prettier and charming , fair-complexed. Mr Ntanya now eeckon himsel as a security officer working as a gate keeper in Roled Institution, a higher institution of learning after being offered enployment by the managing director . He insisted on managing his small amount of income for the while , till he was able to get a job with more pay. He alongside his wife saw the need toto work harder and put more effort in satisfying the needs and aspiration of the entire family to avoid doom or impending basty occurrence as the the penury aggravates .
