In a corrupted office there was a uncorrupted hard working employee. His name was Aaryan . He is 36 years old, married. Mostly he remain silent in his work. He won’t talk much with his colleagues but he has respect in his office for his sincerity.
After finishing his work , aaryan leaves his office early. Before he takes the train to his home , everyday he walks to a hill top and sit on the bench.
He put his legs on the railing and get comfortable. It was the only place where feels peaceful. When the street lamp get it’s light and when sky loose it’s shine, he began to go.
He takes same train everyday . As soon as he reach home he get smile on his face. He felt little happy cause he can be with his wife . When he enter his home, he sees his wife sitting on a couch talking in the phone . She approaches him and kiss him on the cheek while talking in the phone.
‘what did you made jess?’ , aaryan asked. Her name is Jessy , he call her jess.
‘I didn’t cook today, I was not feeling well since morning but I ordered pizza . Adjust for today , please honey,’ she said.
’It’s alright . Did you take medicine ? He asked with concern.
′ I’m fine. I just need little rest’, she said to aaryan and continued talking in phone.
He got freshed. Again capsicum , he thought. He started picking capsicum out of pizza and ate it. He saw yesterday’s dishes are still in the sink. He began washing those dishes. Did laundry and he saw a package on his bed. She ordered something again, he thought. Moved that package and finally he laid on his bed. But he couldn’t sleep. He lost in his thoughts.
Regretting the decisions he took when he was young. He regrets on not following his passion ,instead he was chasing after money and buying luxury things and paying those bills in monthly instalments. He bought everything but inside he feels empty. He was longing for fulfillment.
By thinking all this he sleep only 2hrs in a day.
Daily he does same things . He woke up. Get ready. Make breakfast, eat it and leave some breakfast on the dining table for his wife. Catch train. Work his ass of in the office. Goes to hill top. Return home . And daily night he curses his younger self for being carless . He often thought he made easy decisions in life. Avoiding pain and suffering of pursuit of his dream . And now leading a hard life.
His wife Jessy was cheating on him with other guy . That guy always brainwash her . He often says to come with him and they could lead life of excitement and with joy. She always had second thoughts. She always want to lead a luxurious life. She thought her husband was boring.
One day the other guy said to her to poison her husband. She couldn’t bring herself to poison him . She was against it. But that man pressurized her immensely. She said she’ll do it. She’ll poison him.
When her husband went to office. She made steak as dinner and arranged the dinning table with candles and wine. She couldn’t bring herself to poison her husband. But she mixed sleeping pill in the wine to get him unconscious and she can leave with money without harming him. Aaryan came home . He was surprised that his wife arranged all that . He was very happy . He thought she is the reason for being alive.
The other guy was waiting outside of Jessy’s house , holding a kitchen knife in his car. His intention is to stab aaryan to death in case aaryan struggles or get in the way. Jessy don’t know about this guy’s intentions.
They sat on the chairs of dining table facing opposite to each other. Aaryan says that he is very happy. ‘I’m glad you liked it’, Jessy says.
‘honey, I resigned my job’, aaryan says.
‘why? What happened’, she says.
‘our office had an inspection today and my higher officials blamed me for their corruption, even my colleagues were in their favor. I had go through punishment for which I didn’t do anything to deserve that ’, aaryan said.
′ I am sorry baby, don’t worry it’ll be alright’, Jessy says with sadness and worry. She got worried what will happen if she left him.
‘I’m gonna start business’, aaryan said.
‘won’t that be risky’, she says.
‘Don’t worry, I won’t let anything happen to you. Even if I got bankrupted . Nothing will happen to you and our home. I already registered this home and our possessions in your name . So don’t worry much’, aaryan said with a smile on his face.
Jessy got tears in her eye. She regrets and get disgust of herself for being this selfish. At that moment she loath herself that she is a disloyal wife to a good husband. She want to rectify her mistakes. She cut the call with other guy. When he said he want to listen what is going on . So that he can do something if anything happens . She want to redo everything. She asks for forgiveness for the grave mistakes that she committed.
′ Jess, that’s past , what happened was happened’, aaryan says in supportive tone.
She smiles and she says ‘let’s drink your favorite vodka today. Let’s leave this wine for the past . And beginning new start with vodka’.
‘alright, alright, let’s do that . Wait I’ll fetch it’.
The other guy got anger that she cut his call. He got outside of his car and thinking of barging in with knife.
Jessy turn off her phone. And slowly starts wiping her tears.
In that moment, Jessy’s throat was slit and opened with a knife by aaryan . Her throat was deeply cut . Much blood was coming out of her throat. Aaryan with his left hand bashed her head on the dining table . She was struggling . She is moving her hands and legs rapidly like a beheaded lamb.
After a while she stopped moving. Her blood is all over the dining table.
Aaryan went to his seat while leaving Jessy’s head on the table. He starts eating his stake with wine. He was enjoying his steak with wine while seeing her dead wife.
Aaryan saying while eating ,
’You know, when I was young. I didn’t had any talents or skills or even a dream . But I liked to travel. And I used to take good pictures with my camera. Few thoughts crossed my mind of becoming a tour guide, or being a professional photographer, being a wild life photographer, work in travel agencies, work in travel program tv show.
But these jobs pay less and has low status . That little money can’t fulfill my desires and wants. That’s what I thought but din’t considered the fact that I’ll be happier by doing those little paying jobs. Instead I went after good package jobs. Thinking after doing few years job. Manifesting money and start a business but I didn’t consider my unlimited desires and thirsty wants which grew as my pay increased. And here I am sitting, being jobless and got betrayed.
I checked your phone today honey, cause you were acting strange. cheating on me? Kill me ?
I loved you very much.
I should have just gave my heart to you. Instead I made you my world . I shouldn’t have done that. I hope you are hearing this . Wait for me don’t go now.
I’ll be joining with you, I leaked the gas from the kitchen so it’ll be matter of minutes. Let’s find peace in hell together’.
Aaryan made a deep sigh. He continues,
‘shit, I should had work on me more than on my job. I should had listened to my heart when I was younger. I was pre-occupied with fulfilling my desires and cared less about happiness’.
The other guy wants to know what happed , he slowly entered the house. He was shocked seeing Jessy like that on dining table. Aaryan turned his head and glared in his eyes and said ‘fuck you’. The house got blast just after he said it.
