Tome of Corruption

All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

When you look in the mirror what do you see? Does the face of a happy individual, with a stupid grin spreading from ear to ear moments away from childish giggles, look back at you? In today’s society we are increasingly worried what other people think. We follow arbitrary rules set up by individuals, and social groups, just to fit in with the “In crowd” and increasingly we feel more and more miserable because of our perceived inadequacies. We work longer hours, drink more, bow down more, and in general do not stop to enjoy the journey. The Tome of Corruption is a guide to living a more pleasurable life by either ignoring these rules, or actively breaking them so that other people do not have the control over our lives that the rules grant to the people in charge. Far from being a law breaking manual the Tome of Corruption shows the difference between laws, rules, and the common understanding of socially acceptable behavior. It also points out that corruption, within the context of the book, is just the corruption of the arbitrary rules that people impose upon us so that they can control us; and this includes ourselves. Following this book will give people a more hedonistic outlook in life so they can grab each and every pleasure they desire. However, it is not a guide to happiness, will not grant magical powers, and is not a religious text.

Introduction

Introduction

When you look in the mirror what do you see? Does the face of a happy individual, with a stupid grin spreading from ear to ear moments away from childish giggles, look back at you? Or is it the face of a serious person, troubled by responsibility, guilt, regret, conflicting emotions, and a touch of cynicism?

If your answer is the second one, then I can offer you a helping hand to find the giggles, to grin inanely, and to live a more pleasurable life.

First of all this book, this tome of knowledge, is not a self-help pathway to the ultimate spiritual happiness. It will not show you how to get closer to a god, it will not help you attract men and women that think you are undesirable, and it will not give you powers of mind over matter.

What this book does is show you how to enjoy yourself by unburdening your life of the social negativity that tells you pleasure is wrong. Following this book will allow you to experience any and all pleasurable activities that you desire, despite what your social peers tell you is right or wrong.

In modern society we hold that there must be rules for everything. Laws govern the behaviour that we all must adhere to in order to live a good, free, peaceful life, but we still feel the need to create more rules for our little micro-social environments. And these rules are expected of you, even if you have never agreed to them, if you wish to fit into other people’s lives.

Everyone creates these rules; for friends, family, colleagues, and acquaintances, and they, in turn, create the same rules for others. We even create rules for ourselves and dress them up as wisdom, or enlightenment, in order to feel like we have control over our own lives.

But what if these rules are too extreme for us to follow and remain happy at the same time? What happens if we are expected to do and say things that we just do not agree with just to fit into a certain social environment? How do we choose to live an unhappy life governed by some social group just because we want a few extra brownie points from those that create these rules?

This is where the Tome of Corruption becomes a useful tool. But, first of all, let us rid ourselves of our preconceived notions of the meaning of the word corruption.

What does it mean, to you, when someone says something is corrupt, or that someone has become corrupted? Do you think of the politician taking bribes? Or maybe you think of the babysitter being seduced by the father of the children in her charge. Maybe you think of spoiled bodies decaying and filled with bacteria, and micro-organisms. Or maybe it is a disease eating away at healthy flesh and producing pustules and sores. If so then you would be wrong. These are just triggers to corruption, events that create a corrupted environment, or processes that use corruption in their existence.

Corruption is not about disease or decay. These are perfectly natural processes that are governed by organisms, virus and bacteria, with their own social structures and Norms. Nor is it about making others do things that they are unwilling to do on their own, Dominance is not corruption. It is also not about worshipping any form of deity, especially one that promotes chaos and anarchy; corruption is not a religion, and it is especially not Anarchy itself.

Basically, corruption is alteration, it is change, it is the transition from one state to another.

In this book we will concentrate on corruption being the alteration of arbitrary rules and the ‘Norms’ of social acceptance, the defilement of all that is socially held as acceptable and good for the sake of the rules, into the depravities that all humans secretly crave. It is the alteration of one’s life so that happiness and hedonism become your main goals.

Within these pages I will try to inform and guide you on how to live a corrupt life. A life devoid of all socially accepted misconceptions of goodness, grace, and other such obstacles to physical happiness.

This book will show you how to rid yourself of social burdens; guilt, loneliness, heartache, emotional baggage and pain, and other such useless holdbacks and controls.

However, that being said, this book is not a license to commit crimes, or to hurt other people, no matter how justified one thinks of themselves, unless the other people like it as part of their own corruption; we will come to matters of personal and interpersonal, corruption in Chapter Four.

Corruption must stay within the bounds of societies’ laws in order for it to truly be considered corruption, for without these boundaries there is nothing to corrupt in the first place.

If there are laws in your society that you do not agree with, and you have the support of enough people, then you must get these laws changed or abolished before you can corrupt the rules that made them.

All in all this book, this Tome of Corruption, is a guide on how to be happy without harming yourself or others. After all hedonism, the driving force of corruption, is all about fulfilling your physical drives in order to promote pleasure of oneself, and of others.
