Chapter 1: crumbled garden.
Harper rushed to her garden in the castle as dozens of men surrounded it to tear it down. Harper cried for them to stop as her flowers were ripped from the ground and the walls demolished. She ran to anyone she could and clung to their shirt as she pleaded and cried but it were as if she were completely invisible. Some of the men looked at her with pity but a royal order is a royal order and there was nothing anyone could do. Eventually the men packed up and left the castle, Harper sunk to the ground as she watched the men walk away from what was her garden. Tears began to roll down her face as she looked at the torn apart ground that used to be covered in flowers and the smashed up bricks that used to be garden walls. "Harper!" Shouted an angry voice from the inside of the castle, "Come back to supper now, you're little weeds weren't important at all, suck it up!" She could do nothing but get up from the ground and go back inside the finish her supper. Her Father had mentioned his order to demolish the garden to his daughter as if it wouldn't upset her and without thinking she sat up from the table and rushed outside. Now as she walked back inside her Father slapped her across the face as he screamed at her about disrespecting him. When supper was done she ran back outside to look at what had become of her garden, it all happened so fast so could hardly believe it all. Everying she had spent years on was gone in an instant. Just then a loud clanking noise came from the back of the castle walls where Harper had been sitting. Harper heard a womans voice talking to somebody she couldn't quite hear well enough, "Of course nobody's back here. This part of the wall is practically empty once you sneek past the guards. The only thing back here is some garden I heard was getting torn down anyways." Harper hid behind some tall pots that were still left in the garden and then she suddenly heard screaming. The woman had tied a rope to the wall to climb inside, but then it snapped. The woman had fallen halfway down the wall. The noise alerted the guards the two people had previously snuck past and the person the woman was with was apprehended from the other side of the wall, but the woman laid inside the castle walls passed out with a seemingly broken leg from the fall. Harper couldn't just leave her there, so without much thought she hoisted the strange woman on her shoulder and took her to her room through the backdoor of the castle. All thay ran through Harpers mind was who the stranger was and what they were doing sneeking in and Harper was ready to find out.
