Chapter 1
( Jonas pov) Dear journal Here I was standing at my sister's funeral, when I should have been celebrating her wedding. I didn't understand how something like this could happen to someone like Taylor, she was the niceset person I ever met. My mother was never the same after Taylor's biological father died, his brother my father raised Taylor and married mom but Taylor never talked about her dad . Every father's day we celebrated it with my dad like he was her biological father, I only found out he wasn't by accident one night when I overheard mom and him arguing in the kitchen when I was fifteen. I was coming home from my girlfriend 's house and was sneaking in the house when I herd mom shout at dad angrily crying " it should have been you not Taylor!" My dad hugged her tightly crying " I miss him too " is what he said to my mom she cried harder burying her face into his chest " Im sorry " she repeated over and over as my dad kept her close . Dad stood up hearing the stairs creek he walked over turning the lights on as both him and mom glared at me sighing " sneaking in again Jonas?" He said sounding annoyed I sighed heavily looking at him " who's Taylor?" Mom looked at me sighing heavily " its time we talk in the kitchen " she said she and dad explained everything to me that night....how mom used to go summer camp with uncle Kevin. How Nana died and they were taken in by dad and Taylor's mom , mom explained she grew close to both my dad and Taylor growing up but both of them fell in love with her. My dad hid that he had cancer....and mom lost a leg to a shark attack. She got closer with Taylor's father who shes named after. The day my sister was born her father sacrificed his own life to protect the rest of his families from his ex girlfriend who was trying to kill mom. I was born my parents told me that my sister wasn't at all excited about having a brother I don't say I blame her she was sixteen years old when she became a big sister. But as the years passed we became really close, like best friends until she had to move away for college and then she met her boyfriend J.J. she moved in with him in college as people walked by me some I knew others I didn't even recognize. Or some I just glared at them wondering why they were there in the first place. Hanna's son the woman who kidnapped my mother at one point and tried to kill , not to mention try to fake a pregnancy saying that Taylor's biological father was her son's dad just to get our family 's money still was stuck in my head hanna 's son Aiden had the nerve to show up to my sister's funeral I sighed heavily as my parents walked away " what the hell are you doing here Aiden?" I ask him angirly he sighs looking at me " look I know our parents don't get along but I'm here with respect for your sister, plus I have some information about where she was last before she died. " he says to me I glare at him annoyed " what did you do to her you bastard!? " I say as I grab his collar angirly he sighs heavily " Nothing....she called me to say she was getting on a flght to new york one way. " I raise my eyebrow at him confused " what else did she say Aiden?!" He shrugs at me " oh! She mentioned her and J.J. .....had a fight " I nod at him thanking him and run to my car driving off it was then I realized J.J never showed up I slammed my fist angirly on the steering wheel " fuck!" I said outloud all I could think about was what if he did do it? I remember one year when she was in college she came home for Thanksgiving and brought him home to meet us . I followed her up to her room because she seemed off, when I saw her take off her sunglasses she had this huge bruise on her eye I was only like ten maybe fifteen then. I glared at her " what did he do to your eye!?" I shouted at her she looked at me scared with tears in her eyes " he didn't mean it, it was my fault " she said. I stared her in the face " like hell it was Taylor!" I turned around and headed downstairs when I got there I glared at him angirly " Don't you you ever put your hands on my sister again!" I said to him my parents looked at me in shock as Taylor sat in the stairway with her black eye my father glared at him angirly " you need to leave now!" J.J. left that night but it didn't stop him from harassing my sister he spread rumors about her across the campus that she was fucking a teacher. She ended up married to J.J. we weren't invited, but if he killed Taylor he'll be joining her because he'll have hell to pay. Why was my sister calling Aiden and not me? Was my sister sleeping with Aiden?!
