Chapter 1

A group of young adults were crowded around the cashino. It was late at night in Los Vegas with people outside the city talking, smoking, eating at the most expensive restaurants. Inside the golden building with lights that pierced through the dark and starry night was a whole cashino. There are games of everything you could imagine. Card games, poker and roulette. The lights are low, and there is a palpable energy in the air. The smell of fine food and drinks fills the room. The people seem to forget their worries as they lose themselves in the excitement of the games. The sound of dice rolling, cards shuffling, and coins clinking, mixes with the sound of laughter and conversation. This is a place where people come to have fun and forget their troubles, for a few hours at least. Amongst all the beeps and blinks and buzzing lights coming from each stall and game were a group of fancy young adults. They were laughing and yelling at each other. One was drinking, one was trying to find her lip gloss in her designer purse, one was playing pachinko, and the other was drinking an expensive shot. Suddenly one of them hit the jackpot for a small amount of money. “HELL YEAH!” Julianne screamed at the top of her lungs.

She was playing pachinko and had gotten some good money out of it. Pachinko is a mechanical game originating in Japan that is used as an arcade game, and much more frequently for gambling. It was the young woman's favorite game for its cute icons and lively lights and buttons. Julianne is sneaky and skilled at playing gambling games has a competitive spirit and a sharp mind. With her ability to read people and situations, she can quickly assess who is vulnerable and easy to manipulate, and how to take advantage of them with her cunning and stealth. She enjoys the thrill of the chase and the rush of winning, and she always has one eye on the prize. With her strategic thinking and sly methods, she is a formidable opponent at any gambling table, always ready to make a risky bet or a bold move that may secure her the victory. She's sneaky when it comes to it and is very competitive.

She was wearing a white dress with diamonds flaring in the middle of her dress. It was sparkly and bright light gold, and she wore white heels with gems to match. “Okay okay you won. Seriously la madeleine is going to close soon.” Iniya said. She was wearing a sexy red dress, an elegant rip up on her thigh showing a bit of skin, her heels were high and intimidating flawless and no dent to be seen. She was the one taking shots and she was ready to go to her favorite restaurant, la madeleine.

She didn't understand Julianne's obsession with pachinko; she preferred classier games like blackjack and poker. Sonu on the other hand was different. She didn't fancy gambling as much as the two. She was more into smoking a few with her blood red wine. She is both classy and a smoker, has a strong sense of self and a refined taste, but she also enjoys the occasional indulgence. Smoking is a personal choice and she respects others who do not share it, but she enjoys the social experience of sharing a cigarette with friends or enjoying a quiet moment alone with her thoughts. She takes pride in her sense of style and elegance, but also appreciates the simple pleasure of a good smoke.

Iniya is a classy, sophisticated, and talented woman with a deep passion for winemaking. With her family history in the industry, she has refined her craft over years of experience and experimentation. She is skilled in selecting the perfect grape varietals and blend to produce a well-balanced and unique wine. She takes pride in the high standards of ethical consumption and environmental conservation that she upholds in the production of her wine. With her commitment to continuous improvement, Iniya is respected by the town.

She was wearing a black dress and a fancy black hat that had a veil attached to it. Sonu loved being a mysterious woman. Problem is her mouth wouldn't keep it mysterious. “La madeleine? They're still open right? Let's go now then." Sonu said her lungs were about to collapse. Then there was Namya. She wore designer dresses and when it came to hand bags she adored them. Especially because she had some classy golden tasers and knives to stab men especially in time, when men usually roamed the streets to cause fights, meet up with a gang, or to catcall. Namya despised men. She makes no exceptions for none. She chuckles and laughs coldly at their demise. She was wearing a dark blue dress with black gloves with laces up at the top. “Let's go then.” Namya said. All these ladies when they crossed the streets, mostly men, were scarred.

They were known for being gamblers and for having gamblers luck especially when it came to Iniya and Julianne. These two would make money off of this. Iniya also had a fine taste for wine and cocktails. She would whip them up and make them as strong as she could make and sell them to those who were taking risks to try them. When it came to sonu she was known for smuggling drugs such as cigarettes and vapes. She always knew where and when to get them and her connections were endless. That was her way to make profit. Namya out of all of them was much more dark and twisted. Usually she would go in a dark alley especially near a liquor store and assassinate men she hated. She would also blackmail them. Somehow she gets profit from doing this too. And also uses the men she killed and sold them on the black market. In this part of las vegas She is known only as 'The Assassin' and she is here for a kill. When her target is in sight, she moves with deadly accuracy to strike. His crimes were countless, but she will be his last. He is the latest victim of the dark woman who takes lives for the greater good. For some, she is justice; for others, a menace. But her mark of death remains the same, leaving a wake of fear in her path.

Sometimes Julianne helps Namya with it since she is more violent in that sense and could get the job quicker. Iniya and sonu is good at helping Namya with her main job too, with Iniya cracking and putting codes in for bars that aren't opened yet and sonu collecting the information and reporting it back to Namya. Julianne was the one who did the killing at times, but mostly it was Namya who laughed when it came to seeing a man be beaten to his misery. Sometimes Julianne would leave as her maniacally laughing while violently stabbing him scared her. So basically it's Julianne: Gambling. Iniya: Winery. Sonu: smuggling/drug exchange. Namya: Assationation/blackmail. And occasionally each other would help each other out with whatever they were dealing with. It was a busy night with yellow taxis, many friends walking out, and parties on every block. Los vegas never slept it seems. They walked a few blocks, and a bunch of pizza restaurants, casinos, and clubs popped up. “Oh my god.” Iniya said, looking at the club.

You could see that inside was a beautiful and classy bar with clear tiles with people dancing and others in booths eating. Namya smiled. “Not this time. Didn't you say you wanted to go to la madeleine?” she said checking the time on her golden watch. Iniya rolled her eyes as she smiled. “Let's go tomorrow then.” she said as she kept walking. Julianne and sonu nodded. They entered the french cafe. It smelled of olive oil, onions frying in a pan with savory seasonings. It also had pastries at the front with a glass to just show them off. The small, cozy eatery is filled with the smell of fresh-baked bread and the sounds of conversation and laughter. The menu features classic French dishes like the onion soup and escargot, as well as more modern creations such as the croque madame and brie en croute. The service is impeccable and the staff are friendly, with a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere. The place was filled with strong but cozy french music in the background. All of them drooled. “I love la madeleine!” Julianne said excitedly as she leaned on the glass to where the treats were displaced. Iniya and sonu walked up to the waitress and ordered behind the counter. On the display there were croissants, soups, hot sandwiches and fresh baked bread. It smelled like a steamy bakery and it was delightful.

Julianne and Namya were at their table. Near the table was a fireplace that looked beautiful. The flames were bright and goldish. Julainne closed her eyes and smelled the burning of the fire. Namya looked around. During this time it was busy, lots of people were at their tables talking and chattering. There were couples and families and friends all accompanying each other. Sonu and Iniya then came back. “We ordered soups and sandwiches. Should we get dessert afterwards?” sonu said as they both sat down near the cozy fireplace. Julianne smiled. “I'm so excited to eat. I played so much at the casino I lost track of time.”

Julianne said, leaning back onto the chair. “We should try the tiramisu they have here.” Namya said. Julianne and Iniya nodded. “I'm glad we all grew up and still stayed with each other, and i'm really glad that i'm out of my mothers house.” Iniya said with a satisfying sigh. They all nodded. “Seriously! Why is there so much stress and sadness around them? Starting this new life is such an escape for me.” Namya said. “I totally agree! And now we're adults, we can do whatever the hell we want! I'm an adult but I still kinda feel like I have the mind of a teen.'' Julianne said happily. “I still can't believe we managed to pull off living together. I never saw it coming. Felt like yesterday we were at Johns Creek telling each other our future plans at the lunch table." Sonu said smiling, just reflecting at the memories. Iniya laughed. “I remember. It felt like yesterday.” she replied back. Julianne smiled. “Remember the potty pie jokes? Oh my god that was so funny!”

“And the slay ass toes? Such good memories.” Sonu said laughing with Julianne and Namya. Iniya rolled her eyes. “Were 21 now guys, act like it.” she said rolling her eyes but then laughing as well. “I'm so glad we're not 16 anymore. It's honestly such an embarrassing age.” Namya said. They agreed. Then the food came. The waiter brought out the steamy potato soups with the savory sandwiches on the side. They were all practically drooling. Julianne snatched a sandwich from the table and started munching away. “Is the food going anywhere?” Iniya joked. Julianne looked at her for a quick second then continued eating. “Shut up.” she said. Most people at this time left the restaurant and it always resulted in the door ringing since a small bell was attached to it. In the distance there was a guy in the back wearing a beige coat with goldish buttons and a red scarf covering his mouth. He had jet black hair and a small tattoo in his neck. He wore baggy pants and crisp black shoes. He had a bag with him on the table that looked somewhat heavy. Namya deadpanned him. “Namya?” Iniya said. Iniya unruffled her blood red dress. She looked at Namya. Namya made a clicking sound with her mouth at Iniya. Suddenly sonu and julianne heard the sound. They knew what it meant but they hesitated. They looked at the guy.

Recently there's been a market crash with Namya. Namya hooked us up with weapons all the time on the black market. This is where Iniya came in and put in the codes she found for the most dangerous weapons. Most of the time it was to destroy the weapons to make sure no one gets their hands on them and uses it against them because there have been gangs trying to kill the women and not just them, any women in general. On the other hand they bought weapons for themselves. They needed weapons. Los vegas in some parts of towns and streets were dangerously sketchy and that's where most of the gangs and dangerous men were. Anyways, since Namya always is trying to buy the weapons for cheap there's been a crash. For every black market seller all of them are suspicious, more or less. The seller's name was Mono000 and she always got deals from this specific guy because it would be the cheapest and safest. Recently though when she messaged him for weapons his site crashed many times and she found out that the people selling them have been molesting children and women in places all over in America, especially in Los vegas.

Such a horrible and stupid coincidence yet there was no time for disappointment. When Namya figured this out she told us to stop using that site on the black market and that they were trafficking young girls and women and they were probably using the money to invest in weapons and gain more money from it and repeat the cycle. Namya had a theory that they not only did that but when they sold the weapons there cite would locate the location of any women instantly, maybe even before they bought them. She thought maybe this was so they could profit off it, but whatever the reason she completely deleted her account on that site and restarted her computer. For whatever reason she's been getting a lot of viruses on her computer and she thinks it's because of that site. Recently she got a new one due to the other being old and she thought the virus would be over but she still gets random messages going by the same name as the guy who sold her the items on the site, Mono000. Namya wanted to know more about this guy just cause if anything weird or suspicious happened she would know who to point out, but his profiles had no picture.

Julianne Sonu and Iniya looked serious. Namya was focused on the guy. Julianne was looking around and noticed the employees crowded at them. Namya made a cold look at Julianne Iniya and sonu. “Would you like your check?” the waitress said, smiling. She gave Namya a check and placed it hard onto the table. Namya did not smile. Julianne got up from the table. “I'm going to the bathroom.” she said clearly. Iniya and sonu looked at each other. They were waiting. “Oh sorry. Let me get you a pen.” The waitress said slowly, pulling out something from her sleeve. In an instant Namya grabbed her arm hard, twisting it. It was on cue. Iniya and sonu quickly got out of their chairs and looked at the two other waiters behind Namya. They were holding guns. Namya held her arm. Something heavy dropped out of her sleeve. It was an AK-47. (Gun) Iniya and sonu knew what to do. Iniya threw the chair at the other two behind where Namya was sitting, making them shoot like crazy. As soon as Iniya did that sonu and her bolted down to the ground, crawling underneath the table then crawling out of the other ends on the table and grabbed the two waiters. Iniya punched one of the guys balls and sonu started getting angry and bite hard onto the guys neck taking a patch of skin out. Namya while this was happening grabbed the woman that almost tried to take her life and bashed her head onto the table causing it to crack open. The women fell over and it made a loud thud on the ground. Iniya finally grabbed the gun from one of the guys hands.

Julianne was watching from a corner. She wasn't really going to the bathroom, it was namya’s signal that made her alert. “SONU! GRAB IT!” Iniya yelled coldly as the guy kept punching her, making her throw the gun. The guy that sonu was trying to kick the shit out of him pinned her near the window of the restaurant. He grabbed her hair and smashed her head towards the window. It twisted her neck just a bit. Her head was spinning and her head was now bleeding because of the glass. “I-iniya..” Sonu said weakly. Her eyes were watery. Sonu did not manage to grab the gun but instead the guy did. POW! Namya was behind the guy and kicked between his legs. She grabbed the gun and shot him in an instant, she did not flinch. While sonu was off the hook Iniya was still struggling. Julianne jumped into the scene. She quickly climbed onto the table and jumped as she smashed the guy's head. He was still moving. Iniya screamed as his head cracked and it was all bloody everywhere. There were 2 dead people on the ground in the restaurant that were deemed as employees.

The guy in the back that Namya was staring at came into the scene. He walked in a cold manor flaring his coat. He smirked at them. In his POV Iniya was lying on the ground terrified as Julianne jumped on his head to make him stop attacking Iniya. All of the guys who had looked like employees were down. They got up quickly and sonu was limping. Iniya was badly hurt too as the guy who attacked her gutted her stomach when they were being aggressive. They all looked at him. Suddenly Namya looked at him as she also got up. He looked at Namya smirking coldly, as he put his hands in his pockets. “What the fuck do you want?! Are you with them?” Iniya said cold and clearly enough to shatter a window. “I would like to say that was impressive.” the guy said, chuckling. Namya was pissed. She took out a gun from her pocket she stole from one of the so called waiters and pointed it at him. “Go to hell.” she said her finger on the trigger. In an instant the man ducked and zoomed towards her. He grabbed the gun from her hand and put it on her forehead. “I suggest you comply with what I have to say.” the man said smugly. Iniya was starting to get angry. “If you're with them I dont wanna hear it.” Iniya said sharply. The guy chuckled. “I'm not with them,” he said. “That doesn't make things any better. You watch what happened and you did nothing? What the hell's the matter with you?” Iniya said, looking at him. “They would have killed me,” He said. Sonu pushed him although she was weak in the knees. Her head was still bleeding. “Mono000.” he said, his face cold. “What?” Julianne said. Namya’s eyes widened. “You're the guy selling those weapons on the dark web to me.” she said in a nasty voice. “What the hell is wrong with you? Using kids and women for profit?! Go to hell.” Namya said. “So he's the guy Namya’s been telling us about.” Julianne said to Iniya. She nodded. Namya pointed the gun again and wasted no time pulling the trigger.

Everyone's eyes widened and Iniya felt butterflies in her stomach. And not the good kind. Everyone turned to Namya. “What the..” Namya trailed off. There were no bullets left. The guy smiled and started to laugh but then stopped. He took out a gun that looked dangerous and pointed it at them. “What do you have against us?! We even supported your dumbass weapon market just for you to kill us?!” Namya said, pissed. The guy looked at them cold. His gun was up and ready to shoot. He seemed determined and didn't not make a sound. His hand move fast.

BANG

Everyone closed their eyes. Was this the end? They were far too young to die. Well maybe sonu was ready since her lungs would have gone any day now from all the vapes she inhaled. Julianne opened her eyes and she was so shocked she flinched. She looked around and the guy was still there. Didn't he shoot? All of a sudden a guy from behind fell to the ground. He smeared the wall with blood and his head was leaking bloody. Finally Julianne grasped what had happened. The guy shooted some guy from behind us, not us. Julianne nudged the others and they opened their eyes. Julianne pointed behind them. “He shot him, not us.” Julianne said. Namya looked at him. “What?” she said, confused. “He’s Mono000 not me. I played a role to work for them but really I was just playing them all along.” He explained. “I want a name right now.” she said, pissed. Suddenly they heard police cars. They all forgot about that, they were all in the heat of the moment. “We need to leave now. Now.” Iniya said nervously. They left from the back of the store and were managing their escape.

They were walking in an alley at 1:22 AM. They were out late. “We should have never gone to la madeleine. Is this my fault?” Iniya said tiredly. Namya nodded. “We would have been in the same situation anyways. The weapons we always buy to do our work, well that site as I already told you turned out to have bad intentions with using the money to hurt or lure women. Anytime we used that site on the dark web they would track our location. They could have killed us but thankfully they didn't.” Namya explained. Julianne and Sonu were teary eyed. Sonu dropped to the floor. “Oh my god sonu are you alright?” Iniya said, panicking. They crowded around sonu. It looked bad. Her head was bleeding and the damage the man had done was brutal. Iniya was suffering from pain in the gut as well. All of them were. The night was peaceful, the air quiet and still. The stars twinkled above, their gentle light shining down like a blessing. The trees rustled in the breeze, their leaves swaying back and forth to create a soothing melody. The sound of crickets chirping filled the air and a gentle breeze rustled through the grass. Maybe if they were not in this crazy situation this would have been the perfect night.

“We need to get out of here fast. If we don't care for ourselves and Sonu we might pass out.” Julianne said. They all hurried back to their apartment. It was cozy and comfortable and full of lanterns and fairy lights. Iniya helped sonu get in the shower and when she made sure sonu was good she closed the bathroom door.

Julianne and Namya were in the Living room. They had already changed into comfortable clothes and were just patching up each other's wounds. They turned to Iniya. “That guy.. Is he an alley?” Iniya said. Namya shook her head. “I don't know. We don't even know if he actually killed Monu000 since we've never seen him before.” Namya said. “Monu000? That's his profile name right?” Julianne said while putting wraps on her knee. Namya nodded. “I doubt it though. He said he worked for that organization. Even if he did it to stab them back, I don't trust him. He could also be lying or just be a trap to kill us. If we ever see him again we should leave immediately. It's not worth the risk.” Namya said. Iniya and Julianne got goosebumps. “Yeah.” Julianne said. Julianne gave medicine, alcohol and wraps to Iniya. They were all sitting on the living room sofa watching a cooking show to calm their nerves.

“I'm actually scared now. I mean think about it every time we have to leave the house we gotta worry about some guy trying to kill us. Isn't that concerning?” Julianne said lying on the sofa. “I mean I assassinate guys all the time and we're always getting ourselves into something.” Namya said. “You're a gambler Julianne. That's what you're known for here. And you always win with those sketchy guys at the liquor store. Sonu smuggles vapes and she knows so many roots to escape from crimes if she gets caught. Iniya is into winery and she's always delivering some kind of shot or red wine or champagne. She also has a knack for hacking and coding especially when I need back up with my things. We all have a reputation of being dangerous. Were all respected here in las vegas. We shouldn't be too worried. The point is, we're always finding a way out of bad situations everyday. We're always crossing the law.” Namya said. “But this time it's not let me assassinate someone, it's someone is going to assassinate us.” Julianne said. “Why do you even assassinate Namya?” Julianne said with no thoughts in her head. “Dum dum she's cornering men that abuse women on the street. She has a list of guys names and their track record and depending on that she goes out of there way to assassinate them. If she wants to make money she blackmails.” Iniya said. “Slay Namya.” Julianne said.

Namya turned the tv off. No one was watching anyways. “I feel bad for sonu. If it's still pretty bad we should take her to the hospital.” Iniya said. “Yeah I agree. I hate men so much. Why are they like this? It makes me so angry.” Namya said, pissed. Iniya and Julianne agreed. “I hope she's okay though, that looked so painful. If we hadn't run home she might have fainted again.” Julianne said. Then the bathroom door opened. Sonu came into the living room with some comfortable clothing. She had some wraps on her head but even though she looked much better before. “What did I miss?” she said. “Oh god, I'm glad you're feeling better.” Iniya said. “Same. I think you should visit the hospital tomorrow though.” Julianne said. Iniya and namya agreed. “Okay so just so you know anytime you see that guy that shot the one behind us just leave immediately.” Namya said. Sonu nodded intensively. “We don't know for sure if he's an alley or not and right now he's not looking so good on the alley side.” Iniya said. “Okay. What if he has others with him? I don't believe he's a alley." Sonu said. “Me neither but I don't think we should worry about that for now.” Namya said. “Wait a second, if there ever comes a moment where we are in deep trouble we don't have weapons. Where else are we gonna get them?” Julianne said.

“Shit.” Namya said. They all looked at each other. “It's okay, I'll try to look up a site on the blackmarket to find weapons so we can all defend ourselves and so we can kill the guys up to this” Namya said. “We're going out tomorrow because of the hospital situation. Until then we don't have weapons. I think we should go to one of those women defense shops and get those weapons there for now." Iniya said. “That's a good idea. Well head out earlier then just to be safe." Namya said. “Okay but those weapons don't do jack. Especially the weapon that looks like a lipstick i keep seeing on tiktok. That thing isn't even sharp!” Julianne said.

Namya laughed. “Honestly, they barely defend you at all. It's some small tiny ass pocket knife.” Namya said. “I bet a regular knife would do better than any of those weapons they have there.” Iniya said. “For real. Like might as well just bring that instead of wasting your money on self defense that doesn't do anything.” Sonu said. They all laughed. “Oh wait! Oh wait!” Iniya said in her excited voice. Sonu Namya and Julianne chuckled. “What bae?” Sonu said jokingly. “Let's all just buy tasers on amazon!” Iniya said. Julianne clapped. “That's actually a really good idea.” Namya said. Julianne and sonu agreed. It was 5:34 am. All of them forgot sleep existed. Well with a murderer on the run there was barely any time for sleep. As soon as they found the ones they wanted they ordered speedy delivery for tomorrow. “Night night.” Julianne said, crashing onto the sofa. It was a quiet night.
