SATS CHAPTER 1
The plane had just landed. The cardboards with a crowd of people are waving and waiting patiently for a certain group to arrive. Our main character had just got out quietly.
“Azalea!” Someone called out. She immediately turned and saw her old friend.
“Hazel!” They hugged and sent their greetings.
“I can’t believe you’re finally here!” She squealed. Azalea laughs at her friend.
“Haha, it’s been a long while. The first and last time that we saw each other was when we had our second year of college. But you already flew to Australia at that time. You left me.” Azalea dramatically said. Hazel laughed at her friend.
“Sorry about that, my Aunt was eager to take me here in Australia.”
“Anyways, you need to show me the tourist spots here.” Azalea excitedly said. Hazel nodded. As they were about to leave, some of the crowds cheered for a certain someone.
“What are they screaming for?” Azalea asked.
“Probably some celebrity that came back from abroad.” Hazel answered. Azalea nodded and urged her to leave before a swarm of zombie fans gathered more. Azalea overheard the fans’ scream.
“Ahh! Hi Felix!”
“Chris marry me!”
“Welcome back to Australia!”
She turned around to see two men hurriedly walking. She felt familiar with the blonde man, and at a moment, she thought they made eye contact.
‘He has freckles.’ She thought. As the two men had walked up to their van, she just rang a bell of who they are.
“Oh my gosh. Hazel! I know them!” She squeaked. Hazel looks puzzled.
“Who?” She asked her.
“They are one of the biggest kpop boy bands. But I’m sure we won’t be seeing each other. Sydney is like huuge!” Azalea accepted that this unexpected meeting with her idols was a one-time event. Hazel just laughed at her friend.
“Now, now, let’s go.” She said to her. Azalea just pouted and followed her. They took a taxi, and they caught up with each other.
“so you’re taking a vacation here before the new semester starts right?” Hazel asked.
“Yes, it’s already lucky that we do not have a summer class but it feels weird knowing there’s nothing to do as a medical student. So, I booked a flight coming here to visit you and my relatives. Be sure to take me on the tourist spots.” Azalea replied. Hazel just laughed and nodded.
They arrived at Azalea’s relatives’ house, and they were welcomed warmly.
“Wow, your home really is cozy lolo.”
Lolo- grandfather.
Azalea’s grandfather ruffled her hair.
“Welcome to Australia, apo.” He welcomes her, she smiled so wide.
“I have to go now; my relatives’ might be worried if I stay too late.” Hazel bid goodbye.
“I’ll walk you out Hazel.” Azalea offered.
“Me too, I can bond as well with you.” Brianna, Azalea’s cousin also tags along.
“I have work tomorrow, I’m afraid I can’t accompany you to where you want to go.” Hazel was sad to inform Azalea but she cheered her friend up.
“It’s alright, lolo told me we’re going out tomorrow. He will tour me to his usual spots.” Azalea replied. Hazel sighed in relief. The taxi had arrived so Hazel bid goodbye to her friend.
“So, what do you want to do now, Aza?” Brianna asked as they walked back inside the house.
“I’m off to sleep, I have jetlag.” She said and yawned. Brianna giggled at her cousin’s cuteness and guides her to her room.
“Good night, Azalea.”
“Good night, Brianna.” She smiled as Brianna closed the door. She sighed and texted her mom that she had arrived at Australia safely. She then do her night routine, after is to meditate.
‘I should jog tomorrow, I feel stiff.’ She thought. She went to bed peacefully without anyone disturbing her.
Meanwhile….
Felix’s Pov
“Lix, I’ll be off now. Call me if you want to hang out.” Channie hyung told me and I nodded.
“See you Channie hyung.” I bid goodbye. We just got off from our last workload in writing a new song. Since we were on hiatus for a while because we just had our concert wrapped up, JYP gave us a long break telling us that we deserve it. I stretched my arms out and circling my shoulders because we just had finished our session. Mom also called me to go back home for dinner. I head to the car and head back home. My phone rang as soon as the car rode off heading home, I saw the name and answered it.
“Yeoboseyo?”
“Yongbok-ahh, bogo sip-eoyo~” (yongbok, I miss you)
“Ahh, Leeknow hyung, eotteohge jinaseyo?” I asked him. (How are you?)
“Nan gwaenchanh-a, chan-ihyeong-ilang eonje hangug-e wa?” (I’m fine, when are you and channie hyung coming back to Korea?)
“han daljjeum jinamyeon Hyeong.” (maybe after a month, hyung)
“Al-ass-eo, god boja~” (I got it, see you soon~)
“Ne Hyeong~” (yes hyung) and the phone call ended. I rested my eyes and think of ways to spend my vacation.
THE NEXT MORNING…..
I woke up because of the warm sun spreading through my face. I got up from the bed and changed into my jogging clothes. I closed my door and saw my mom humming happily and my sisters sitting on the dining chair.
“Good morning.” I greeted them. Mom also greeted back and my sisters just smiled at me.
“Where are you going?” Mom asked.
“Going out for a jog mom, I’ll be back later.” I answered. I went out the house, put on my galaxy buds and started to jog.
Azalea’s Pov
*vibrates* *vibrates*
Hmm??? Who is it? I reached out my hand to find my phone and answered it with my eyes closed.
“Hello?” I sleepily asked.
“Good morning, Aza! I heard you’re there in Australia! Why didn’t you notify me so I could also tag along with you?!” Hawi, one of my friends sulked. I giggled.
“Sorry about that bestie, it was sudden, and it was my lolo who booked a flight for me.” I explained. “Also, you do realize that I didn’t come here to play, but to study right?” I sweetly reminded her.
“Okay fine, anyways, I have also got approved by our school that I can also come there for an exchange student program same as yours. Since our course and we had high grades last semester.” She informed me.
“Really?” I excitedly squeaked. “Finally! When will you come here?!”
“Maybe in two weeks? I don’t know, the school will provide me with it so no worries.” He assured me. “Anyway, I have a tea for you as usual.” Here we go again.
“What is it?” I asked but my head is fuzzy.
“Our good old best friend also passed our last exam, and she will also be in our class section this year.” I could imagine Hawi rolls her eyes through this conversation.
“Wow. Her guardian angel really is strong. What build she at?” I joked.
“Seriously! My hands are itching to grab her hair!” I laughed at his response.
“I told you to do it when we saw her 2 weeks ago at the mall.” I added fuel.
“Argh! Imagining about it really makes me satisfied, what more if I really done it.” She sighed. “Anyways, I got to go.” She spoke.
“Alright, take care wherever you are.” I bid goodbye and went back to sleep.
“Azalea, it’s time to wake up. Lolo cooked adobo.” I heard Brianna’s voice.
“Hmm? What time is it?” I asked.
“8:30am. Why do you ask?”
“Nothing.” I stretched my arms. “I’ll be right there. Give me five minutes to fix my bed.” I said to her. She nodded and headed out first. I quickly fix my comforter and pillows and head straight to the door to the dining room. When I arrived, I immediately saw lolo and my cousins.
“Good morning, everyone.” I greeted while smiling. I headed to lolo and kissed his cheeks for a greeting and head to the available chair. We just ate and chatted. We also planned what we are going to do today since it is a warm and sunny day. Although lolo said that he has something to do, wo that led us with us, cousins what we are going to do.
“Should we go to Bondi Beach? It’s a good place and Azalea is here so it is a to go spot for us!” Brianna suggested.
“Maybe next week? Since our plan tomorrow will be strolling at the parks here in Sydney, right?” Noah also suggested. They all agreed. Looks like I will have an exhausting time here for two weeks. I sighed thinking about it.
“I think I’m getting tired thinking about your plans on touring me than my first day at The University of Sydney as an exchange student. Also, I got a call from my best friend that he will also be attending as an exchange student like me.” I excitedly told them.
“Really? And a He? As in Him?” Brianna asked me.
“Yeah, He in gender, she in heart.” I replied. Brianna formed an O shaped mouth and my other cousins were suspicious.
“You sure that’s not your boyfriend?” I choked at my own saliva.
“Seriously? Wait till you meet him, he’s much more of a woman than me.” I denied.
