Chapter 1

This story you are about to read, is the terrifying legend of Alice, the girl with the devil incarnation. Her story, is a gruesome, and sad one. She was only eleven years old when the horrifying legend started to carve it’s way into history, and today it remains the most dark legend of all man kind. And now you may be asking, “Does this story have a happy ending?” well, all I can tell you is to read on...

October 13, 1969, Roseville, California.

Lying in a soft, queen sized bed, a little girl named Alice, with beautiful dark brown hair and deep green eyes was deep in a silent slumber. The trickle of the fountain in the back left corner of the room was a comforting background noise that the girl enjoyed. Everything was silent, until Alice was awoken from a rumble from the earth. Alice moaned and tired, then used the little strength she had to life up her head. Her bed-head looked like a rat’s nest and her face wrinkled, squinting as a nightlight cast a beam of a golden glow at her face. The wind outside howled, like a lone wolf in the night, and then the trees outside started to sway and the boards creaked. Alice’s eyes widened, she made a fence of covers around her head to make her feel more comforted. Then the window by Alice’s bed shattered from a powerful gale of wind, books flew everywhere, some got sucked out the window, and paintings crashed to the floor.

Alice sprung from her bed, tripping over the rug and screamed in fear. “Mom! Mom! Help me!” She yelled in terror.

Alice’s mom burst through the door and rushed into the room and scooped Alice into her arms. “C’mon sweetie,” Her mom said, trying to hide the fear in her voice.

I’m scared!” Alice cried. Her mom rushed out the doorway, and bolted down the stairs, almost tumbling over from going to fast and the house’s insane shaking.

“Everything will be okay, baby.” Alice’s mother said, Alice hugging around her neck tightly.

Waiting by the bottom of the staircase was Alice’s dad, gesturing his hand towards the door. “Let’s get outside!” He yelled. “It’s a tornado! its huge, it might be an F4!”

They ran down the hallway, towards the door. Almost all the windows exploded, sending shards of glass flying everywhere in the house. The window howled and trees outside snapped like tooth picks, and the car was crushed my a power line. Alice’s mother opened the door with Alice and her arms, trying her very best to make a shield around her daughter. Alice was wailing in fear as the car exploded, and the roof of the house was torn off and crashed into the neighbors home, screams of pain coming from inside. Alice’s father ran for the tornado shelter, and quickly unlocked it and opened it up. “Come on! Hurry!” he yelled.

Then a tree was ripped from the earth and whooshed towards Alice’s father. He tried to duck, but the huge oak tree slammed into hime chest, a sickening crack came afterwards and then he was sucked away. “Richard! No!” Alice’s mother screamed.

Then a the wall of Alice’s house hurtled at Alice’s mother, who screamed as the heap of lumber and brick crushed Alice’s mom.

“Mommy!” Alice screamed, trying to dig in the heap of rubble to save her mom.

Then another tree was torn from the soil and thrown on top of the rubble in which Alice’s mom was under. Alice started to scream, but she stopped when she saw the neighbors car crashing towards her. Her mind racing, she looked all over for a place to hide, then she saw the tornado shelter door bobbing in the wind, then the hinges snapped and the door sailed away. Alice ran as quick as she could towards the shelter. She dove in as the car fell on top of the shelter, nearly crushing Alice. She screamed in fear, which made the tornado and the other screams of people much more horrifying. Then Alice was interrupted by a board from somewhere outside falling through the roof of the shelter and on to her head

The floor beneath her feet began to crack. She ran for the stairs, but she slipped, tumbling down the flight of stairs like a boulder rolling down a hill.

Everything started to go black. All Alice could remember was the tornado dissipating and sirens wailing in the distance...
