Chapter 1 The big Announcement
It's Saturday morning, I am in my office at Sapphire Hotel going through my work emails when suddenly my mother storms in and demands to speak to me. My P. A Sandra walks in after her with an apologetic look" sorry Miss Gomez I tried to stop her but she was adamant that she needs to talk to you" . "You may take your leave Sandra I will take it from here". The moment Sandra leaves my mother starts "Bella I have been trying to reach you for the past two days i wanted to tell you that you will be getting married next weekend". I was shocked, to say the least." before you try and protest and tell me you can't you not ready and you don't have time to settle down it was your grandfather's dying wish. And you are not getting any younger all your mates are married with children and you just a workaholic who doesn't have time for anyt-" "Mom stop! this is not the time or place for all this couldn't you have waited till I come over". By now I was fuming" why are you and Dad forcing me to get married? And secondly, who will I be getting married to you guys know I don't have time for dating". "Don't worry everything is sorted the groom is there we just need to go for a dress fitting" she explains excitedly. "Woah I can't believe this Mom how can you plan my wedding without consulting me you even went out of your way to find a groom who said I will even agree to this?, in this day and age you still believe in arranged marriages. You know what I don't have time for this as you can see I am very busy I need to prepare for my meeting". " You have a week to find a dress and trust me you will get married once you know what's at stake!" With that said she left. I had 5minutes left till I have to go to a meeting with Mr Montgomery. I felt a headache starting because of my altercation with mom.
