Ramblings on Life

I always asked myself: "Why am I alive?"

Or

"What is the reason for my existence?"

All this time those questions echoed in my mind, but the answer eluded me. Every time I thought I got it, it slipped between the gaps of my fingers.

It was as though a higher power did not want me to know. There was a barrier, an invisible wall, too high for me to climb, too sturdy for me to barge through.

I knew it existed, and I could only find answers if I somehow brought this wall down. But it stood there, motionless, no matter what I tried or for how long I tried. My whole life, it distanced me from the desire that burned in my innermost being.

And then, one day, I realized that maybe this wall was not evil. Its purpose was not to keep me away from whatever hid on the other side. No. The reason for its existence was to barricade the thing that could be found on the other side.

Maybe life found its meaning by exactly that - looking for it.

They say the journey is far more important than the goal.

So, you stranger reading this and looking for the purpose of life. How about you enjoy the journey, this ride that will one-day end?

Isn't being on a roller-coaster the most fun, no one likes to stand up and leave.

And that is life, enjoy it while you can. It will be far too short anyway.
