Suki hummed one of his favorite songs to himself... "This Is Home", while he wrote in his notebook. He kept everything in there. Every picture... every memory... Suki smiled, every thought about his childhood best friend, Kazu. He chuckled, remembering one of his favorite memories. Which honestly didn't happen that long ago... December third... he ran his hand through his blonde/ginger hair as he smiled at the remembrance.
(Flashback)
Suki waited for his best friend, Kazu, in the park on a bench. It was cold and chilly... a fresh layer of snow frosted the bare ground. He was shivering with chattering teeth, he'd forgotten his hoodie. Yet somehow he hadn't forgotten his beanie... how stupid was he?
"Suki?"
Suki looked up from his knees, which he was hugging. His eyes brightened when he saw Kazu. His cheeks were red from the cold. Or was it Kazu...? He didn't know.
"H-Hey Ka-K-Kazu!"
He smiled, teeth chattering. Kazu let out a chuckle, putting on that smile that Suki loved so much. Kazu crouched in front of Suki, touching his freezing cheek with his hand. It was so warm...
"Su, you're freezing. Did you forget your jacket again? Actually... don't answer that," He chuckled. "of course you did. What did I expect."
Kazu stood up, Suki's eyes following him. He slipped off his sweater, "Here." he said with a sweet smile. Wrapping it around Suki.
"Well, would ya look at that? It looks even better in you than it does like me! I'm totally jealous."
Suki blushed, but it was hidden by the cold. Suki gave Kazu a small smile, "Y-Yeah?..." He said, or more or less questioned.
"Do you think I would lie to you?"
"No?..."
"Good, because I wouldn't." Kazu smiled.
Kazu took a seat beside Suki, wrapping an arm around him. "Quit forgetting your hoodie, twerp." Suki nodded, staring at Kazu as he embraced him.
Suki wished he could kiss him...

Suki glanced at the clock, 7:30 AM... "7:30 AM?!" He stood up, throwing his notebook in his bag and slinging his backpack onto his shoulder. He was gonna miss the bus!
He got to the bus just in time, huffing and puffing. He heard Kazu's voice.
"Jeez... what marathon were you runnin'?"
Suki looked at him, "Ah, shut up..."
Kazu chuckled, "I'm just messin' with ya." He ruffled the shorter male's ginger hair.
Suki looked into Kazu's hazel eyes, he loved how they looked... they were beautiful. Suki's eyebrows suddenly furrowed as he watched Kazu's eyes shift to a passing girl.
"Isn't she beautiful?..." Kazu commented.
Suki looked at the young girl, indeed she was... she had long flowing blonde hair- beautiful sky blue eyes... unlike his. He had green eyes. He'd always loved them since he thought they looked like the forest... which he loved- but looking at her eyes... compared to his- he... he thought of them as... as a muddy swamp. He frowned. She was beautiful.
Kazu glanced at Suki, seeing his frown. "You are too, Suki. Don't worry.." Suki looked away and shrugged.
(FLASHBACK)
December 9th
"You are beautiful, Su..." He pushed Suki against the wall, wrapping his arms around Suki's waist. Suki took in a sharp breath. His face became red. Suki chuckled, "You get flustered so easily..."
Kazu placed his right hand on Suki's cheek, caressing it with his thumb gently. He leaned in, kissing Suki. Suki's eyes widened, but then he pressed his own lips back against Kazu's, hesitantly wrapping his arms around Kazu's neck.
He didn't want this to end...
(END OF FLASHBACK)
He let out a shaky breath remembering that.
"Why did you ever kiss me?..." He muttered.
"Hm? What was that?" Kazu turned to him with a smile.
"Nothing."
"Alright..."
The girl from before approached them, "Hey! Uhm... hi, I'm Marley! I... seem to have forgotten my sweater today... I- was wondering if either of you had an extra?..." She looked at Kazu. Clearly taking an interest in him.
"Oh!" Kazu's face lit up, "Yeah- here!" Kazu pulled out a sweater from his bag. The sweater he'd given Suki on... on that day. Suki furrowed his eyebrows, kind of pissed.
"Why, thank you~" She slipped it on, "and... what would your name be?" She looked up at Kazu. He smirked, "Kazu." He took her hand, kissing her knuckles.
Suki crossed his arms. "Oh! Look at that! The bus is here!" He sounded a bit irritated. Marley glanced at Suki and gasped. "Oh- M.. G!" She smiled sweetly, "I am absolutely in love with your hair color! Is it dyed? Natural?" Suki was taken aback, "Um.." Kazu stepped in with a smile, "It's his natural color."
"That's so cool! I wish my hair were that color-" Why... is she being so nice? He thought.
"Hey, Marley, are you new?" Kazu asked, "Oh! Yeah, I am." She smiled. "Oh, sick." He wrapped an arm around her shoulder, "I'll be one of your first friends then!" He gave her a toothy smile.
Suki glared at Marley. Wishing that she was dead for a moment. But then... how could he hate someone so kind?... What an... angel.
But the feeling that he wished she were dead came right back as he watched Kazu and her walk away hand in hand chatting away.
He wished he was Marley...
Marley became a part of their group. He never tried to get close to her but somehow she weaseled her way into his life.
Marley and Kazu became amazing friends... it broke his heart. Suki had become distant from Kazu in the past couple of weeks.
Kazu had been pestering Suki for the past couple of weeks until Suki snapped. "Jesus... Christ on a stick- WHY DO YOU EVEN NEED ME?!" Tears streamed down his face, Marley was standing beside Kazu, and her eyes widened. "YOU HAVE MARLEY, KAZU!" His breathing was shaky and panicked, his breathing was unsteady and fast, and he looked aside. "I don't even know why you even kissed me..."
Kazu stared at Suki with a wide-eyed expression, "Su...-" He reached out for his arm but Suki pulled away. "NO! DON'T 'SU' ME!"
Kazu was shocked by Suki's sudden outburst, "How have you not noticed..." He sighed sadly. Kazu grabbed his arm, "Su... what are you talking about?-"
Marley spoke up. "He loves you, dumbass... even I've noticed." Suki's eyes widened, hearing Marley's voice. Suki pulled his arm away from Kazu. "Su- you...what?..."
Suki crossed his arms, looking down and nodding. "Oh... you fucking dumbass..." Kazu spoke to himself, pinching the bridge of his nose. How could he have been so blind?...
