Do mermaids exist?
If so, then where do they come from?
From Greek mythology books it is said that the first half woman, half fish was the Goddess Atargatis, the Goddess of water and earth.
And some say that they once lived an Egyptian princess who was so much in love with the ocean which she then decided to live under water and later turned to a half fish half human. If you ask me, I will say that's so not true. You know why, because the human skin can't stay on the ocean, salty water for a long time.
The other Greek mythology about mermaids is that they originated from Sirens. It is said that Siren were creatures with the body of a bird and the woman head and big scary feet.
The Sirens would play their songs and cause shippers to crush and drown in the ocean.
It is then said that Hera, the daughter of Zeus. The Greek goddess of art and science persuaded the Sirens to compete with the Muses. The Sirens lost the competition and so the Muses plucked off their feathers and made crowns from them, leaving the Sirens flightless. The Sirens fell from the sky and into the ocean and used the last remaining of their magic to turn themselves to half fish half woman, thus resulting to the birth of mermaids.
So, do I believe mermaids exists?
Yes.
Only because my life was ruined by one of them. I am, the way I am today because of her. How she destroyed my life, you ask.
