"Welcome back to the world of the living. Lionel is fine and Mason was here yesterday."

"What! I'll kill Lionel. He let Mason saw me in this state? Call him now. I'm going to give...."

Suddenly the reality of how he got here dawned on him. Memories of how he was tortured came in flashes.

He came out of the store carrying groceries that Tanya had asked him to buy. He barely reached his car when four guys walked past him and the last guy bumped into him.

"Hey, watch it man."

"Get lost." The last guy said with no remorse. He stopped with the others, ready to pick up a fight. Lionel was about to say something when his phone rang, he picked the call, entered his car and left without saying a word.

"Don't I know that guy?" The one who seems to be the leader of the group asked.

"Yeah, we do. That's Jaden's friend."

"Interesting. "

"I'm surprised till now he hasn't buried his friend."

"That reminds me boss, ever since you travelled out, I've kept an eye on him and it happens that he has been visiting a particular hospital non stop." The guy who bumped into Lionel said.

"And?"

" I didn't do follow up since you asked us to lay low."

"You idiot! Do I have to tell you everything, huh Jeremy? Get out of my sight and don't show me your face until you know what he is doing there?" Jeremy did a slight bow and left.

"Hills, do you think he survived?" Another member of the group asked, and that question not only irritated Hills but provoked him that he responded with a snarl.

"LHow the fuck will I know? He exhales, cooling off his anger before he spoke again. " Party is over everyone, find out what I need to know and do it ASAP.

It was supposed to be a welcome home party for him but now the revelation of what is and what is not ruined his mood.

"Are you okay? Jaden!" She called him when she watched his sudden silence. His expression was an angry one. "Jaden?" She called again but he said nothing, she was about to call him again when someone came running in excitedly.

"Lionel! I'm glad you are here." She barely finished speaking when Tanya walked in. Lionel had picked her from the office on his way here.

"Jaden you are awake!" He moved closer to hold his hand but his voice stopped him.

"How long have I been on this bed?"

"Look, Jaden, what matters is that you are awake now."

"How long?" He shouted in fury causing the heart rate monitor to give a high beeping noise.

"Jaden you have to calm down. You really need to calm down." Lionel advised with his hands demonstrating to him how to calm down.

"I am calm so just fucking tell me how long?" Jaden snapped at him.

Lionel looked at Rose and Tanya before speaking.

"A year, two months and three days."

His face was all shades of red the moment he heard that.

"I swear I'll kill them both with my bare hands."

He fumed out as he angrily grapped the central venous catheter.

Jeremy trailed Lionel to the hospital. He saw him waved at the nurse once he entered the reception. He followed him at a close distance. Lionel entered a ward with a bold VIP print at the entrance. He tried to follow him inside but was stopped by a nurse sitting in front of a cubicle similar to that of the receptionist.

"Your ID please."

He searched his pocket before showing her his fake ID.

"No not your personal ID, there's an ID the hospital gives to every vip member."

He hissed as if the awareness just dawned on him.

"I forgot it at home."

"I'm sorry you can't enter the VIP without an ID." She concluded and resumed chewing the bubble gum in her mouth

He would have left easily if he didn't remember Hill's words. Either he smarts up his game or walk away with nothing.

"You really are beautiful."

He watched her blush at his comment.

"You are not bad yourself." She twist the gum in her mouth seductively. If anything, Jeremy's pretty face always makes it easy for him to woo any woman.

"Listen, I know this is not the right place or time but I just can't stop imagining myself having a beautiful babe like you cuddled in my arms."

She checked him from head to toe with flirty eyes as he spoke.

"Where are my manners? I'm Remy and you are?"

She chuckles as he extends his right hand for a handshake and she took it.

"I'm Evangel and I must say you are one hell of a straight forward guy."

"Ahh, you got me. My biggest flaw."

"I like that you are straight forward."

"So you don't mind me saying I'd love to do pretty things to your body if you allow me."

"The question is, can you handle me? I'm a pretty wild one."

He caress her hand with his fingers.

"You won't know unless you try."

He fixed his eyes on her slightly exposed boobs.

She is a married woman judging by the ring on her finger but if there was something he was good at doing was spotting sexually starved married woman and this woman before him was no exception. She had tremble at his touch and was even eager to have a taste of him.

"My shift will be over in ten minutes. Meet me at the clean up store. Don't be late."

"Not for a bit." He blew her a kiss before leaving.

"That was easy." He muttered under his breath.

"That's why we are all here Jaden. I will do everything to bring them to book. But I wouldn't want you taking laws into your hands. Let us help you. Let the police take up the case. I promise you won't regret it."

"This is not a case for the police. I'll handle it my own way."

"Please Jaden I'm not asking you as Lionel's girlfriend or a cop but as a friend. Let me help you. Unless of course you want me chasing after you for commiting a crime."

"Jaden please let her help us. You are a living witness to what happened to you. No one will call you bluff." Lionel chipped in.

The door opened and Enzo walked in.

"Hello everyone."

"Hi doctor." Rose replied.

"Here are the results from yesterday's scan. Is this a good time to continue?"

"Go ahead doctor." Jaden answered him. He couldn't wait to be discharged. Once out of here he would deal with King and Charlotte himself.

"Like I told your friends earlier you sustained lots of injuries. Some are gone and some will take some time to heal. When you were brought here our main focus was to keep you alive, so we didn't focus more on other parts of your body and I sincerely apologize for that. We did a full imaging tests on you yesterday and the results came out showing you strained some of your muscles as a result you may find it difficult to walk."

"Are you saying I will never walk again?"

Two heavy breathing could be heard in the cleanup store. Evangel was in charge of the keys to the store. She had her gown rolled up and her back to him. If anything, he didn't disappoint her. She wanted more of this stranger and as she arched her back for more he stopped.

"No, please don't stop."

"So what happens at the VIP ward?"

"Rich patients."

She gave him a sudden jerk and he responded with a fast move before slowing down again.

"You like it hot and fierce, don't you?"

"Yeah, so quit slowing down."

"I'll do as you wish on one condition."

"Which is?" She tried to turn and look at him as she spoke but he held her head in place with his hand. He gave her a fast one and she almost screamed her excitement out but quickly covered her mouth with her hands lest they get caught.

"There's more where that came from and I'll be at your beck and call if you tell me what the guy that went in before me came there for."

"He has an appointment."

"What kind?"

She tried to pull him out of her but he won't let her.

"Come on Evangel, you like the way I ride you, don't you?"

" I'm sorry but we keep our patients secret here." He let go of her. She felt empty the moment he came out of her. She's been married for five years and never had she been given orgasm as strong as this. She bit her thump as she watched him starts dressing up. He won't even look at her anymore. It was true she was forced to marry her husband but with this man she felt something. He was done wearing his trouser.

"Wait!" She was going to be in serious trouble if the doctor finds out. " I'll tell you everything you need to know on one condition."
