It All Begins
It was a chilly morning at the bus stop. She pulled her black hood over her head knowing it wasn't going to help the sting in her ears. She shoved her fists in her pocket and huddled close to her self. Her younger sister and brother were chatting up a storm with the other sixth graders that came to our stop, on BlueJay drive. Her fabric black bag hung losely over her shoulders, basically empty.
A large yellow bus with the words "Elko County School District" painted in black on its side, rolled up in front of them. She walked to the front and borded first, finding the first empty seat in the back. The high schoolers that ruled the back didn't bother her, and she leaned agenst the window with her back pack filling the space next to her.
She closed her eyes feeling the bus move then stop at the last couple of stops. She only opened her eyes when a boy asked "Can I sit here?" in a voice that sounded like gravel scraping agenst itself. He wore a thin Falling In Reverse hoddie and his hands were adorned with rings and braclets. He had a scar on his cheeck that looked recent along with brusing on his neck as if some one grabbed him. A small skull tattoo that looked as if someone tried to rip it off sat on his wrist.
"Sure." I say moving my bag to the floor.
"Thanks" He said sitting down, his bag at his side. he rubbed his neck and pulled out his phone.
She layed back agenst the window watching the cars drive by.
"Hey what's your name?" The boy randomly asked, throwing her off.
"Genesis." she answered simply, now staring at her knees pushed up on the seat in front of her.
"Pretty. I'm Leonardo, but Leo for short." He said smiling.
"Huh. Well nice to meet you Leo." She said, looking at his deep, honey colored eyes.
Once they got to school she found out that Leo had pretty much every class with her, yearbook and band he had different classes.
Later that day he sat with her again and they chatted a little more, soon becomeing friends.
